Why do young Somalis in the west deny the Isaaq genocide but have unlimited concern for Gaza and the Sudan?

Do you have a source for this đź‘€

The 'war' was absolutely Darod vs Isaaq. A handful of members from other qabils doesn't change the fact that SNM was overwhelmingly Isaaq (especially Garxajis) and likewise we all know that the Barre government was by Daarood and for Daarood (especially Marehan, Ogaden and Dhulbahante, known as MOD).
Neither SNM used Qabil language in it's recruitment and war against the regime nor did the regime claim to represent a one clan and used clannist rhetoric in its fight against the rebels.

It was Somalis vs Isaaqs. Isaaqs won, go f*ck yourselves
This is the most laughable thing I've ever heard. You couldn't fight the government until the USC was on the doorstep of Xamar and had cut supply lines to the north.

Your leader were being paraded around town naked like Cersei Lannister

Even with Ethiopian armoured support you got your ass handed to you multiple times

No such thing as Isaaq genocide, completely made up nonsense after the civil war to justify overthrowing the government with foreign support. This is the same rebel terrorists (yes two of the jabhads were terrorist groups SNM and particularly the SSDF was among the first to pioneer bombing assassination attempts) that were attempting to assassinate Goverment officials and blend back into the civilian populace. AUN Jaale Maxamed Siyaad Barre was reluctant to authorize the air raids against the SNM but it was a necessary precaution against the terrorists engraining themselves into the populace. We all know the crimes and mass murder sprees they use to carry out in refugee camps against Ogadeni refugees who settled there after the 77' (fun fact the leader of the SSDF Abdullahi Yusuf helped stall progress on the front under his command hoping to take advantage of the loss to do a coup on MSB which failed MISERABLY! He was the first Somali officer to ever flee across the Kenyan border BTW)

Tell me which units the USC fought besides Red Berets and last minute Darod clan militias? The entire army and airforce (including Rhodesian mercenaries) was bombing Somaliland. SNM was fighting the Somali army, Samarone militias, Harti militias and WSLF/Ogaden militias in K5..Xamar means nothing to us just like it means nothing to us today.

Ethiopia armed us with light weapons and gave us a safe haven but didn’t participate in any battles not even in our battles against WSLF in Ethiopia. Darod lost on all fronts during the civil war. Hawiye did nothing but killed a state already dead in vegetable state because of its war in Somaliland.

Another Samarone genocide apologist. You will be flying our flag in Borama untill the day of judgement. If you don’t like it you can go and become subjects of Oromo Abiy in Aw Barre
The truth is the SNM was backed by Ethiopia, declassifed cia documents from the 1960s show the northern region being neglected and possible future instability coming, also here is the definition of genocide, what Siad Barre did would be considered crimes against humanity/war crimes

Genocide is the intentional destruction of a national, ethnical, racial, or religious group, in whole or in part. The UN Convention on Genocide legally defines these acts to include killing, causing serious bodily or mental harm, deliberately inflicting conditions of life to destroy the group, preventing births, and forcibly transferring children from the group.

The army had disintegrated (everyone joined a jabhad or formed a clan millita) by the time the USC was at the doorstep. I don't know why your mentioning the red berets when you couldn't fend off regular army soldiers.

Don't deflect from your terrorist activitie

SNM under Silyaano leadership is the one who came up with idea for a Hawiye based armed rebel group separate from SNM to be formed that will fight in central and southern Somalia led by the defected General Caydiid to open a 2nd front that will accelerate the downfall of the regime as the bulk of the Somali army and its heavy equipment was sent to the North in the war against SNM.

Your family members were part of a terrorist organisation? Gee I would never feel comfortable enough to post this.
It was a national opposition armed movement that came to existence because of the kacaan abuse of power and authoritarian rule which was not acceptable for the Somali people.

Afweyne should have resigned after 77 war or shouldn't have resisted Cirro's coup attempt and stepped down gracefully as I'm sure AY and Cirro would have given him a immunity that will make him not stand for trial.

Doesn't change the fact they were a terrorist organisation. I wonder how they were fighting the Kacaan when they were kidnapping aid workers and hijacking planes.

There was no way he could ever do that, the elites of the predecessor to the SDR (Somali Democratic Republic) hated AUN Jaale Maxamed Siyaad Barre with a burning passion, they wouldn't pass up the opportunity to jail him or even worse execute him. They failed to succesfukt execute a coup (MSB always had better intelligence, the NSS and Hangash were always three steps ahead.) and then turned to open rebellion afterwards. If they had actually succeeded with their coup they would've installed one of their own as president and then continued military dictatorship under new management.

Muj Col. Cawil AUN hijacked the plane to free the students afweyne arrested in Hargeysa in 1982 and to free the political prisoners such as the former FM of SDR kacaan regime Cumar Carte Qaalib , the former PM of Somali Republic Ibraahim Cigaal and Ismaacil Cali Abokor the man who helped Afweyne get in power and was member of Shanta Golaha Sare ee Kacaanka arrested in 1980 for tribalist reasons.

Doing that doesn't make SNM a terrorist organization but the regime you support to be the terrorist one who have engaged in terror acts against my people.

Afweyne used tribalism in the military to stay in power after 77 war when got the news of Cirro's coup planning and from that moment the military started to crumble as the Kacaan regime relied on Qabiyaled to maintain power in the country.
