Why do young Somalis in the west deny the Isaaq genocide but have unlimited concern for Gaza and the Sudan?

would've installed one of their own as president and then continued military dictatorship under new management.
Doubtful tbh. We saw what happened in 1991 when USC chased off Barre, they decided to fight each other and turned Mogadishu into battleground. Aideed, Mahdi and the other rebel leaders were all power hungry individuals so even within the same organization they couldn't agree on anything.

By the time Barre passed away in 1995, the USC, SNM, SSDF and more were all continually fighting, splintering into even more factions because none of them had any intentions of stablizing the country. The north became mostly peaceful by the late 90s but the south was still entrenched in warlord activity that it took until 2006 for Islamists to go oust them.

Meanwhile Ethiopia's Derg government also collapsed in 1991 but the difference was that the succeeding TPLF had actual vision and plan for the country instead of chimping out like the Somali rebels. This conversation wouldn't be happening if Aideed and Mahdi weren't complete morons and made compromises instead of competing with each other. American interventions didn't help matters either.

What about the aid workers theyve kidnapped?
