From what I understand, this girl is frustrated at the clear hypocrisy in her family and by extension her wider community. This same story is replicated in the same or more subtle ways across the Muslim community.
One such mentality I have seen is that misogynist males argue that women are the "first teachers of children" and thus, if women are lost, everybody is lost.
However, in the same breath they will argue that men are meant to lead. So are you leaders or not? Are you responsible for leading the flock or not? And if you are, in fact, responsible. How can you lead the flock if you are a weakling who cannot control his privates, his eyes and his tongue? Riddle me this.
Or do you think your role on earth is to tell women to cover up. Which religion do you folks actually follow?

Islam is meant to be a religion that is in line with human's biological fitrah.

Both men and women need to be strong and virtuous. It seems as though we’re going back to jahilyah days like when men used to bury their female children when they didn’t have a son. So many Muslim men have become misogynistic and hypocritical that even non Muslims are catching up on it. However, for south Asians I’ve noticed that it’s in their blood to openly hate and discriminate against their women. If doesn’t matter if they were born in the west and many of them will never let their daughters marry an cadaan but they will happily impregnant a non Muslim
