OPINION Why couldn't farmaajo defeat ahmed madoobe

It's no secret that farmaajo left no stones unturned to get rid of madoobe and install a loyal man in jubaland, like he did in GM, KG and HS. This is not even a bad strategy and it almost worked. If farmaajo had gotten kismaayo under his control, and installed his own man there, there's no doubt he would be "reelected".
Why did he fail in kismaayo? He sanctioned the place to death, he sent two Ethiopian planes carrying some 100+ highly trained Ethiopian soldiers and when the prospect of taking over all of JL faded, he fortified Gedo with soldiers, weapons and money, to at least make sure Gedo was not controlled by Madoobe.

so why did he fail? After all, he had the entire government at his disposal, and he did use it plus he did get help from a foreign country. Before I hear the Kenya excuse, there are only 3800 KDF soldiers in all of Somalia, and this includes Gedo, and those in Mogadishu. That's obviously not the reason why.

Please let's be civil for once, and not bring qabiil into this, focus on the two men.

Not really. Kenya is insignificant in Kismaayo. There are more Ethiopian troops there than Kenya. I have seen both camp's location.

You are lucky that Ceyr brought you to Kismaayo in 1998 when MZ sublclan split into two. While Cawliyahan were long gone.
