For those who are 20+ or 30+ and single, where did they meet their spouse? 🙂 Just a bit curious as our community doesn’t always share the details of their dating lives! Thanks.

Back in the good old days mate, it used to be when you go up to that exquisite lady on the street, for a chit chat, then get her number and her father, then the rest is history.

Ask someone you trust whether they know if someone who is single and meets your criteria. Someone knows someone who's related to X to arrange an introduction.

Most of the marriages in our family are arranged ones (I don’t want it personally). The fact that arranged marriages are not common in our culture is something I only encountered it online. Mostly the men in our family are the ones who arrange marriages so maybe ask your father or your uncles or even aunts.

What is wrong with arranged marriages? As long as you’re being included and asked if ur interested, there is nothing wrong with it. It’s actually even better because the background check is already done by then :browtf:

Your on your own when it comes to finding a spouse in the west. I feel bad for girls because unlike arab girls parents, somali parents are lazy asf when it comes to looking for a husband.

The problem with somali arranged marriages is that they do it based on the families only:/ They don't worry about if the arranged parties will actually match up.

yes, you are right, but still love marriages are nicer (this is my personal opinion).
