I don’t care if the majority are Hawiye or any other clan and since the election of Farmaajo the residents of the capital sent a message that any Somali regardless of his qabiil can lead the nation from the capital. Let’s give credit to the locals. From there, we can slowly reconstruct a new mentality of loyalty towards the nation and reconciliation between Somalis. Most importantly, most Somali cities lack the basic infrastructure required for a capital compounded by building new dozens of ministries that may cost a fortune. What Somalia needs is to educate, nourish and look after their children, so tomorrow they will be well informed and can’t be seduced by alshabaab or other anarchic militias to survive. They don’t need a new capital right now.
