The dark naaso and neck is present in many overweight people of color. Higher level of insulin can make the skin folds thicker so they appear darker. Obesity/overweight causes insulin resistance in the body. I'm also predisposed to having dark neck/arm bits. I don't have it now but if I eat too much carbs over extended period, I can have uneven skin tone.
