What is this Bantu woman saying, and is she valid?

I do agree with her we need to fully start accepting them but this whole thing can be applied to qabiil also what do we claim from them (genuine question not backhanded) I didn't really know about them till going online.
Exactly like the average diaspora kid doesn’t know anything about them and found about their existence from tt. They’re trying to create a narrative were they are the basis of Somali culture similar to how caadan fashion & music is an imitation of AA culture instead of accepting the fact that they have contributed nothing to Somali culture. Idc if people think I’m being hateful because I keep seeing them and other minorities trying to spread this qashin idea that we’re the evil mixed invaders and diminishing our history or stealing it for themselves. I know users on here like to believe that 0.5s are poor, weak people and while that may be true back home, it’s definitely not true in the diaspora. People on here need to realise that nobody cares about the truth in the era we’re in and will believe 0.5s when they say this qashin because all they view us as a privileged group & see them as a weak minority. You can write an essay in her comments about qabil or how her people discriminate against others back home but people will dismiss it & just call you cuunsuri. She’s not appealing to Somalis with this content, this is for people who already think we’re the most cuunsuri people ever and want extra confirmation

"Exactly like the average diaspora kid doesn’t know anything about them and found about their existence from tt. "

Depending on where you live a decent amount of Somali americans have interacted with them irl. They have a huge community in Ohio, Utah, and smaller communities across the nation. We have a large ethnic Somali community in Ohio.

I've gotten a long pretty well with the ones I met IRL. Never sensed any sort of hostile energy from any of them. I've known these people existed since I was a little kid.

The Somali bantu diaspora is non existent in Europe. I believe America and canada were the only countries that granted them asylum.

Since they don't exist in Europe a lot of European Somali supremacists genuinely hate Somali bantus. They're the main ones that insult Somali bantus on social media.

Do you think if they disliked you they would be dumb enough to slip up irl and say so? People keep their feelings to themselves and know certain thoughts would never be accepted irl. I’m certain the girl in this video has never had a bad interaction with an actual Somali (and no, mean tt comments aren’t representative of an entire group) but she understands that she won’t get any views telling the truth so she babbles about discrimination instead. Does anyone really believe that the Somalis she sees irl are discriminating against her and her people? She’s posting videos to try and lecture us which is why the 2nd video she posted is captioned β€œwe don’t need acceptance, if the truth hurts self reflection is key” wtf are diaspora kids meant to be reflecting over? This isn’t about a sincere discussion, this is her & 0.5s in general trying to push an caadan guilt type narrative onto us and wanting us to apologize for the actions of ancestors. Nothing we say or do will ever please them & she will focus on the minority of negative comments because there’s a specific narrative she wants to push. Idk how people can’t see that

1. I never just call them Somali. I always call them Somali bantus.

2. Somalia is currently fucked up so right now most people are only donating to their families and qabils back home. Not many people are donating to randoms they aren't associated with. That would explain why a lot of somalis probably won't be that invested in Somali bantu issues back home.

3. Somali bantus are well known for working in the construction scene and are also heavily represented in the fishing industry back home. I feel like a lot of somalis already know this and give them props for their hard work. Especially somalis from southern somalia. With the money they earn a lot of Somali bantus are definitely more well fed compared to a lot of somalis back home.

Idk how they can’t tell that this is the kinda video were she just wants to complain and hide behind the excuse of β€œyou discriminated against me first” to try and justify the lies she’s telling. She wants that activist branding and social currency & the easiest way to do that is complain about being a poor, marginalized minority…except it’s 2025 so nobody cares anymore

I notice with many of 0.5s that they want sympathy & empathy from Somalis but resent us at the same time. They think that we’re excluding them even tho we’re not and think about us way more than we ever think about them. You could tell them that they’re just as Somali as us but that’s not enough for them, it’s like they’re envious of the little things that they’ll never be a part of like Somalis stopping you just because you’re Somali or helping you out randomly or whatever, like Somalinimo in general. None of that will ever happen to them and they pretend it’s part of some evil vendetta we have against them when it’s just that nobody can tell they’re Somali lol.

She has literally never experienced discrimination for her background from Somalis so what are we meant to be apologizing for? This AA larp 0.5s are trying to do lately is weird and doesn’t suit them. Idk how they’ve lived among us for centuries but still haven’t worked out that we dgaf and they’re not getting reparations or whatever it is they want

I couldn’t really decipher what she was saying, just rambling about. I would argue qabil civil wars are worse and more damaging than any discrimination held against Bantus.

Exactly lmfao I'm from the UK and they are literally never mentioned ever. I think rn with all the somali hate she saw an easy way to get views and spread hate bc rn nobody would take our side except ourselves and since they aren't known much they can easily spread this misinformation. I do think they probably get discriminated against in somalia but this whole narrative of us claiming stuff from them is insane when have we ever done that???? Now watch the hate we are gonna receive from people just because she made this bloody video inciting it πŸ€¦πŸΎβ€β™€οΈ

Watch how this is gonna be used to say we are racist and anti Black for the millionth time and the next second they'll take the piss out of our looks and mock us for it but that's 'acceptable'

Her and the rest of them on tt switch between doing this and then dressing up in Somali clothes to argue with 0 follower burner accounts like they desperately crave our attention and think about us all the time. It’s not normal & I hope they can get help. I notice that a lot of minorities seem to crave the approval of the main ethnic group in the country (if that makes sense) like she’s mad at us but doesn’t think we’re helping her people enough…like it’s weird borderline paternalistic qashin. She wants us to affirm her beliefs but even if we do, that’s not enough. There is no end goal for these kinda activist types, it’s just constant complaining.

Idk what cultural contributions she could be talking about and if someone in her comments mentioned niiko or something I’m sure she will probably be upset but wtf have they given us like genuinely wondering?

That's what i asked earlier on the thread I have no beef with somali bantus I don't even know any but what on earth have they brought to our culture??? She's really trying to peddle this myth that we stole from them and then oppressed them, at least that's what I'm getting from this video. Also I agree what does she want the diaspora to do we have nothing to do with what goes on in Somalia if she wants to actually have a discussion why doesn't she peak in somali to the people living there. This video looks very performative and like she's just trying to jump onto our hate train lmfao.

AA larp. She wants to pretend her people contributed to the founding of the nation and that we owe them something or whatever but we’re also evil and racist but we should atone for that by helping them but even if we help we’re still the bad guys. The sooner people realize you will never please these types & move on, the better

Yea she's trying to put them in that category and us in the evil cadaan people category. Soon more will start coming out of the woodworks and claim they're indigenous or/and that they created our traditional clothes and music. It's already happening with a small but loud section of AA claiming they are native and that those '5 dollar americans' aren't.
