My strengths: Can't think of any now.

It's pretty much empirical/practical physics and mathematics. Anybody who is competent in both of these areas can be classed as an engineer IMO. As long as they can apply what they know.

The good thing about doing a degree in mechanical engineering is that some modules require that you actually design and build things which provides you with the opportunity to apply what you've learnt.

You need to be a logical thinker to excel in mathematics and physics in the first place lol.
