Somalis don’t differ at all in language, culture and many other things. Qabyaalad is cancer in somalia that needs to
Though somalis have the same language, culture and so on they importantly don't view themselves as one unit, in fact the tribes like Darood or Hawiye and even larger subclans are more or less an isbahaysi somalis use when they have an outside threat to deal with, but in everyday life as nomads they identify with a small group consisting of few small lineages who have a common ancestors only a few generations ago, also known as diya paying group in literature (diya being the blood money). So somali society is very divided where on a federal level someone may identify with his clan but on a local level in an area mostly made up of his clan identify with his subclan and so on.

This is very similar to switzerland and the reason I would take inspiration from their federal system, as the country because of its mountainous geography with disconnected valleys is made up of many small communities which in all intent and purpose are independant of eachother apart of some larger shared culture or language.

I would've gone for confederalism but you added that there would be a national government ruling the capital. So no thank you.

Weak FGS is a good option but only if we follow the German model. If no, then I'll go for F or A.

@convincation what do you mean by six states? You've left so much to interpretation. Is in all of these scenarios FGS ruling Banaadir?

B or C. I don’t mind D but to what extend is the federal government weak? If the federal government cannot get it’s own national affairs together and gets cucked by foreign nations, I’m against it.

If you want some weak government that gets cucked by foreign nations, especially neighboring countries, then you might as well vote for independence.

If we can’t have B, C and D to some extend and we can’t get our shit together as Somali, I’m all for balkanization. Daarood, hawiye, Isaaq and Rahanweyn can have their own countries.

I’ll never trust a Daarood president, specifically boons with a central government and I’m sure the feeling is mutual. I’m all for the unity of Somalis and Somalia but at this point enough is enough.

E if shiisheeye are ruling, D if my tribe is ruling (potentially C depending on which sub), B if my clan is ruling, and A if my subclan is ruling.

Confederation like Switzerland with subclan Cantons and subsubclan communes.
And we'll have 10 presidents running the country for six months each at a time in a 5 year presidential term.
These presidents will also come from different Cantons and different political parties.

Here is my idea, I am repasting it from a previous post I made based on a unitary system which has control over every inch of Somalia.

A 1 party state with local elections could work then ease into a multiparty system once development and education of the masses reaches a certain point. Somalia practically needs someone who can lead it for 20+ years, someone who can hold mold it. Like Josip Tito or Lee Kuan Yew.

It doesn't even have to be an individual per se as long as the idea is the same the same path can be followed. This is why a single party sharing a vision will be good, the leaders can be "changed" but the idea can be same.

Maybe in Somalia you can get all the popular leaders of each "tol" and create a party based on a shared vision, the "leader" is a figurehead but the party decided together what needs to be done. If the leader is seemingly unpopular due to his Qabil he can just be replaced by a party member that is another Qabil, this will continue in the same vision as him without disrupting any progress that was achieved

----------------------------
Of course you need a group people who are not corrupt and are willing to put the state and nation over their own "tol".

I support strong centralism, after reconciliation between the warring clans, disarmament of the militias and the return of all Somalis to the capital. Somalis can't go forward with clan federalism.

Islamic Monarchy. Every state has their sultan . Islamic law makes sure that the sultan doesn’t cause dulmi against other qabils in his state.

@Maxamed bin Harti I was being nationalistic. But, even if we think from clan interest lenses, weren't reer Puntland eating good during the early years of government 1960-69? Before Siad Barre's coup which could easily have been countered with a well-planned reverse coup. I believe political centralization(not development) is good for the country.
