I had to delete tiktok, I was literally on the verge of kuffar AGAIN bcs of the bs some muslim men say. I realise that each time I interact with one too may muslims I start disliking the deen. Which is crazy bcs when I keep to myself I find praying & reading Quran alot easier.

The other day, as I was going back and forth in my mind over this subject, it finally dawned on me. That muslims are human.

Every group will always contain fools and miscreants. Even if the deen is flawless, there will always be fools who misinterpret it and use it to damage and mislead others.

The greatest thing we can all do for ourselves is to try to avoid interacting with these folks because if you do, you'll end up being 45 comments deep in a tiktok comment section arguing about nothing.

Arguments in the comments section rarely result in people changing their minds, so block and feel free.

Its also its great news that you value your deen and that you want to perserve it. I know sometimes your eman may feel weak but it happens to a lot of us.

If we're all being honest, the west's success isn't due solely to its liberal beliefs. Nonetheless, some of their liberal principles, such as support for immigration and equality, greatly aided Somalis. But as a diasphora, we can perceive the flaws in liberalism. We Muslims prefer sharia law to be applied to government. The most natural course of action is to promote it at home since the west is obviously predominately non-Muslim. But, it is hypocritical if we are promoting sharia at home while continuing to live in the west.

Sorry I disagree bro, state and religion should be completely seperated, religion should a private matter, that way we can make sure the religion is not being misused to suppress and control people.. With that said we should actively promote Islamic values and manners into the society in a peaceful matter that doesn't involve the state or it's institutions.

The state should be what the people wills it to be. If the people are 99% muslim then why not have the government reflect that?

For example if there was ever a christian enclave within a muslim nation that group of people should have the right of going to christian courts and have their legal system christian

I think I understand where you are coming from, after the civil war Saudi style of Islam was introduced to our people and many things in Somali culture where alienated by the new ideology.. We should create a Somali state where all the citizens are included and protected equally by the law and religion is something you practice privately as an individual.. But of course our culture and behavior reflects the good values of Islam.

You can not debate, or discuss ideas if you focus upon h(er)is faith, gender etc., for then you defeat your argument(s), if diluting the probity of the discourse.

I think Somalia should follow the Indonesian example where some parts of the nation is ruled by sharia and you can choose if you want to live there.
