OPINION Was HSM Somalia's most educated president?

More and more I see of him, I begin to think that's the case. A good example is his fluency in English, as can be seen in his Oxford Union address


Also his career as an educator pre and post civil war, and founding a university.

It's probably either him or one of the first two. None of the current candidates seem as educated however

I will say this - in comparison to HSM, it surprises me how poor Farmaajo's English is. Especially given that Farmaajo lived in the US for 20+ years. It wasn't like he went to the US as an old man, he was in his twenties when he got there. He seems a bit slow.

Some people are just better at speaking english due to intentional practise. HSM did establish SIMAD university and was a dean there , unsuprisingly his interactions with NGOS helped him speak more refined english.

That may be true, but Farmaajo's poor English makes no sense. Anyone who lives in the US for 20+ years from there mid-twenties on, should speak better English.

Wasn't he supposed to have been a social worker and worked in the Somali embassy before that? I think his terrible English proves he was just put in the embassy because he was Afweyne's people, and he was probably scamming the Buffalo council out of money rather than doing actual community work.

HSM is a shit and in par with Framajo on bringing shame to the somali people where HSM 5 years ago he signed an agreement with the saudis to use our women as maids and be abused by those scumbag arabs

I never said he was not smart, he was an extremely smart individual.

Aden Adde had the least amount of education out of the Somali presidents. Barre, Sharmarke, Sheikh Shariif, Farmaajo and HSM all have some form of formal education.

He was the least educated of them. All the others had at least some university education, except maybe Aadan Cadde who I am not sure on.
