That Saudi presentation is horrendous and it’s discriminating children whose fathers gave their lives for their country because of the colour of their skin and unlike individual racism, it’s a despicable open and government sanctioned direct institutional racism. You’ve to understand that the SAUDIS were forced by the Kennedy brothers to abolish slavery in the 1960’s because they strongly believed (like all Salafis) that slavery is valid and legal in Islam. However, @nine is correct in stating that we Somalis are worse than the Saudis.

We have here people who believe Somali Muslim Bantus or Madowweeyne like these children to be forcefully deported out of Somalia and to countries where they’ve no connection with culturally, linguistically and religiously because they aren’t “ethnic Somalis”.. The Saudis don’t want to deport these children and their mothers but some Somalis here do.

Last year, someone posted a Madowweeyne Somali guy who was murdered by the relatives of a “an ethnic Somali” girl that he married and the consensus here was that he deserved to die and brought only to himself because he shouldn’t come near her. These guys are now throwing mud at the Saudis. Consistency in rejecting all kinds of racism is admirable but not pick n’ choose.

Arab scholars in the Middle Ages declared the Zanj to be subhuman and this caused the mass slavery of Bantus to Somalia as well as to the Middle East. Those Black Saudis you see descend from people from Zanzibar and vicinity.

Slavery was only abolished in Arabia in the late 1900s. Not that long ago.

Tribalism is a much bigger issue than racism in Somalia. While racism is more common than tribalism in the Gulf Arab countries.

Anyhow, Somalis are nowhere near Gulf Arabs when it comes to racism. Have you not read all those horror stories of what is happening to African and Asian maids (being chopped up and murdered left and right) or the slave-like conditions of South Asian construction workers.

After Arabs taught them how it was done. They did not think of it themselves. Hawiyes are Muslims that doesn't mean they invited Islam either (logic to your argument).

Mogadishu is named after Persians (Seat of the Shah). There was heavy Middle Eastern cultural influence in South Somalia explaining the Bantu enslavement.

Discrimination and prejudice are the hallmarks of a primitive, uneducated and arrogant mind---and all of these traits are ones Saudis and Somalis share. Saudis show that material development means little if intellectual development does not go with it. It's a troubling reality for those that think discovering oil will solve Somalia's problems.

theres no racism as such in somalia, theres clannism. have neva seen any somali treating bantus bad. also saw in the north some bantus married to otha clans, and its not even their home territory,
there r many of thm in hargeisa/burao mostly work in constuction and have no problems with the locals.

It became a theme for them and whoever is against them is dismissed as a BLM. Anyone who’s against racism towards African Americans, West Africans, Caribbean people or other Africans are dismissed as BLM activists.
