User Nilotic excited to come to Somalia

@Boqorada but a xalimo made him cry in front of millions of people 😬

I don't understand why people feel the need to film their breakdowns and periods of mental distress and put it out to emission.

I felt for him but I don't appreciate that display of emotion from a man; his future children will see that and it won't be good, and this is something people don't seem to realise... that what you do now on the internet is immortalised.

There will never be a video of me dancing, singing (it would be a crime), fighting, arguing with people, being drunk, having a breakdown or having a moment; I intend on thoroughly fooling my future children into thinking that I was always serious and commanded respect in all that I did. My authority will not be undermined by truth or notions of fallibility.

I think it's a filter those tears dont look real

Nah jar33rs are discriminated in the south, and intermarriage is taboo. Who are you kiddin?

you call us savages because we discriminate but use that word.

Also I can’t keep up with the lander lies. Apparently we are mixed with them and thus notpure but now we don’t marry them.

The pure hatred you awful people have. Leave us alone!

Still not a good look; a random person online shouldn't be important enough to make anyone emotional.

Plus I would only be truly saddened if my own people attacked me

The rest of the world can just...

My 5'2 ass is gonna go cry in the corner excuse me:mjcry:

And Of Course! South Sudanese people that I've encouraged have always been sweethearts. I've mentioned it before but my brother was engaged to 2 and i was hoping to be an aunty to beautiful little SS/Somali Angels. *still hoping* fingers crossed.

And the tiktoker is from the UK so he has a lot of Somali friends and is just interested in our culture so no lol it's not just those 2 videos. He's made many more. Somalis and SS In the UK are really tight.

He's gone viral a couple of times.

5ft 2 ? No wonder u so maaaad :pachah1:

Yeah some people have thin skin & tbh nearly 90% of his comments were only about his skin tone

:nahgirl:

Taking offense over skin-tone barbs is a bit much. It never mattered to me and when anyone ever said 'you're blacker than midnight':lolbron:... I always responded with:

..you no lip having motherf*****

This guy is not deficient in the looks department because of his skin-tone and I resent it being used as the culprit.

@Boqorada

Why does your brother go for Nilotic women? It would be so much better if he found a Somali wife due to cultural compatibility, experiential commonalities and the underrated (very crucial) ability to clown Ajnabis in Somali without them knowing.

:hemad:

You would also gain a Somali sister; she could be a fire-breathing, sword-wielding Kandaka like HIBAQ123; she may occasionally tease you by calling you an Habesha, but this would be you everytime you saw her

Your nephews and nieces would be completely comfortable in their identity

This would be them in Somali spaces

Ion they met In college and through mutual friends. It was more coincidence then him going after nilotic women. And we come from a huge family, one boy marrying a non Somali is not the end of the world for us lol we don't care who he marries.

Fair enough.

You're a lot more open minded than I am. I didn't reveal it in the other thread but I'm speaking from experience when it comes to inter-cultural or interracial unions as it relates to family.

My sister is engaged to a white man and that made me terribly uncomfortable, and I'm still not entirely at ease with it ; she's smart and hardworking... so I trust that she made the right choice for herself -- my discomfort and opposition to that relationship notwithstanding.

I never expressed my discomfort to her, because she already knew that I was not going to immediately embrace her relationship; due to my ethnic pride, the poor girl was visibly nervous when she told me about the relationship and I felt bad that she felt like that.

I decided to chill and acknowledge that my sister is not my child and is an adult (a smart one at that) and has every right to make her own decisions.

We come from a conservative culture, so my dear father would have vetoed the whole thing had he not died 5 years ago.

My uncles and aunties are completely opposed, but my mother and I have kept them at bay and prevented them from intervening.

With the passing of our father, culture dictates that I be recognised as the custodian of the family...

..It's very antiquated and teribly silly and I don't believe in the extreme nature of it all, but I have to invoke it (and pretend to believe in it) in order to protect my angel of a sister.

I would be hypocritical if I didn't reveal that I actually will discourage my future sons and daughters from marrying out.

It's just not for me. Apologies for the wall of text.
