I am hearing about a hypothesis that might save SL where there will be a comprehensive agreement with all Somaliland stakeholders in Djibouti to agree to a unity on a north-south powersharing basis and the Prime Minister will be Muse Bihi and after that there will be elections in SL in which the opposition may win. This is actually what the US was calling for implying new adminstration in SL to be the solution by calling for road map for elections.

Can someone explain why sland can’t let go of the SSC regions? Surely they could just give it up and still claim to be independent with their other states? Because SL claim to be the legal successor to British Somaliland, it becomes arbitary if it was just clan borders.

what about PM cigaal from 1967 to 1969 under Daarood president Sharmarke? It will be based on this tradition. Nothing against Isaaq becoming a PM except not representing SL . Current deputy pm is only on paper. if SL joins the SFG then they can get the pm as he reprents it.

Cigaal didn't become PM due to Isaaq demographics. Isaaq are not relevant alone, that's why they hide under Ururis Samaale or 'Dirta Waqooyi'.
Personally, I don't care if they return to Somalia's fold, as they will be dwarved by everyone else, whether it's 4.5 or one-man, one-vote.

You already have been pushed out. All your ministers are puppets of HAG deputies and the PM is HSM’s secretary (i like him tho and don’t mean this to insult him).

It’s not the European type 1m1v. It’ll give seats to each state and be selected the 4.5 way. The only difference is there’ll be political parties. For example Cayr will have Mahad Salad running as UPD vs Cali Yare as NN. Whoever gets the most votes win the seat (it’ll be 1st 2nd preference to make sure the candidate gets 50%).

I expect the only serious political parties will be led by Hawiye politicians. UPD will benefit from a 1m1v election massively under this system.
