America is just really "corrupt" and poorly redistributes wealth while pumping way more into its military than welfare like Canada or Europe but in terms of economic, scientific and artistic output no nation on Earth remotely stands their equal even now. California alone has more than twice Canada's GDP at 3.4 trillion. Even Texas surpasses Canada at 2 trillion but both have lower incomes per capita cos, well, it wouldn't be 'Murica if that wasn't the case. Still far more millionaires and billionaires, greater ease of doing business and actually better quality health care institutions that sadly are liable to bankrupt most of its citizens.
For lower income families in the US, there is aObamacare that is income based. So if someone makes less than 20k, they get a free healthcare.
If someone is a middle class, they're required to carry a healthcare insurance and choose the one they are eligible for. They are given the options of which ones has more deductibles and also allows to have pre-tax flexible and healthcare saving accounts where one can save a portion of his or her income for healthcare expenses before taxes.
If someone with a middle class income loses his (or her) job, they can either switch to Obamacare for the lower income people or they can join what is called COBRA which they pay monthly and maintain their healthcare insurance.
For senior citizens, they have Medicare, which is free for them.
In American healthcare, there is government provided and there is a private one. You're responsible as a citizen to choose which one you want to have and eligible for.
Get healthcare before you start drawing comparisons.
Compare yourself to Somalia.
Anyone who makes this statement doesn't know what they're talking about. Obamacare fixed most of existing problems, and everyone should have a healthcare depending upon their income. We live here and have healthcare, so stop chatting shit.
Socialist healthcare is rejected in the US. It is very flexible healthcare and as long as you understand what you're getting, you should be good to go.
