The Horn is just one part of East Africa; South Sudanese are an extremely old East African population, so it's absurd to exclude the people that have been in Northeast Africa for tens of thousands of years.

If Horn Africans fear some sort of 'racial' replacement by Nilo-Saharans and Niger-Congo Africans within the EAC context, then maybe you guys should create a union amongst yourselves + North Sudan.

i always hear this but no one ever specifies these resources. Don’t say uranium because we have low deposits that are expensive to mine. No huge oil or gas deposit which nobody will invest billion to extract. Somalia is violent due to lack of resources. People are fighting over scarce water and grazing land.

It's said that there are 140 billion barrels of Oil in Somalia and some weren't counted, and combine that with the ocean
Not only that we have loads of livestock and have loads of fish which can make us very rich
Why do you think our country has so much war? We have so many resources, so it is adamant western countries keep us like this, this is in the north alone

The Oromo are the only demographic threat lapping at your door; Nilo-Saharan and Niger-Congo Africans are unlikely to ever move to Somalia.

Hargeisa and Bosaso have large Oromo populations, but they seem to be assimilating into Somali culture.

Somalis in ugunda and rawanda are making a killing in the transportation of goods and real estate sector , somalis been in doing bussines in both of those countries way befor the civil war . Presidential candidate abdulkadir osoble and the deceased usc leader qanyare made a fortune in transportation of goods in both landlocked countries .

Cabduwaq let alone Somalia doesn’t have 25% of worlds uranium deposit. Look up top ten reserves in world you won’t find Somalia anywhere.

Oil is very CapEx intensive and investing in Somalia is gamble. We have long way to go before any oil is produced and a lot more studies are required. I’m not even sure if we have heavy or light crude which will also make a big difference. There is good opportunity currently with world pivoting away from Russia which slightly slowed the march to get away from hydrocarbons. Will be hard sell still to get the billions in investment with our political and security climate when we squabble over millions. I’m not hating just want something to backup the statements . Agree we do have livestock and fish which we can continue to build upon with more machinery and water wells
