They still hold onto their former glory and view themselves as superior/great but the reality is that is no longer true. The reputation of Arabs has gone completely downhill.
The fact of the matter is that they are (by the rest of the world) viewed as equal to/even worse than the "abeed" that they believe they are soo superior to. They are viewed as violent, uneducated, un-integrated and repressive. They are probably at the bottom of all societies; with arab ghettos/'no go zones' being even worse than black hoods.
They even look down on South Asians who are 100xs better educated and well respected than they are.
I don't hate or love them but they need a reality check

If your argument had any clout then Somalia would have never had any civilisation or kingdoms, and yet it was more prosperous in the 16th Century (when people were arguably more religious on average globally) than it is now. The Civil War had nothing to do with religion.

The civil war was about Tribalism, Nationalism and secularism that it. We were hectic in the 16 and 17th century because we weren't secular.
