I agree with this. I think it’s beyond just carelessness but more about power and control. They have no control over their lives so they’re going to Assert it in this way. It’s sad because STIs are rising in the somali community (just like every other community) and the polygamy lifestyle is what causes the majority of cases.

They only need to speak with Somaliswho are HIV positive. The vast majority of them never did anything ‘haram’.
