Are you guys from the UK? No offense but let’s not act like the diaspora don’t behave differently. We are shaped by our environment. And yes, other Africans do have these discussions. Namely francophone Africans in European countries.

Who cares? We already know we are hated. We don’t care. You’re kidding if you think diaspora banter has skewed ajanabi’s perception of us. They don’t care but they do care about the balayo that seemingly follows us around everywhere. That’s going to be cleared up as we settle into our host nations and move up the ladder. We haven’t been here that long and we came in dire circumstances so I’m not stressing. It just takes time.
And just because we are qaxootis doesn’t mean we haven’t gotten used to our host nations and can’t highlight the best and the worst aspects of our respective nationalities. We can discuss our differences, what’s the problem in that?
I find it funny you’re bringing up other Africans when you already know we are cut from a different cloth. Of course the way we banter and joke with one another would be different. That’s to be expected.
