I lived in London in my late teen/early 20’s, the only good thing about London imo are the job opportunities. I left the UK a few years but if I were to ever live in the UK again I would like to live in a town in Hertfordshire . It’s 20 miles north of London , less overcrowded, more affordable , has low crime rate and a reasonably short distance from London.
