people rarely go out of their way and start asking for you’re qabil unless they start to become familiar with you . But qabilism is still very strong in big cities.
When i was staying in taleex in xamar i had waqooyi neighbors and not once did we ask each other about our qabiils. Same with the niggas i met whilst i was in xamar. Even if they are familiar they wont ask you “ yaa tahay” or ask for your qabil discreetly because no one gaf now. Only time they might ask for your qabil is if you go and sit with the random odays drinking shaax outside. Qabiil is only relevant in politics or if you try to live in a qabiil-majority degmo

Everyone has the fantasy of being part of a fully functional united nation so everyone splits into regional and political factions to try and fufill their fantasy because the government isn't doing it for them. However it is important to understand that the fantasy will never be fufilled in this way because they are splitting each other up
