The flags have gotten out of hand.

Na man i hope the younger generation breaks our curse. Theres nothing wrong with knowing your qabiil but dont think your better than others bcus of your qabiil
Younger gen back home are big tribalists on social media but people born here most of us have friends from and grew up around all different types of tribes so it’s not that serious

Bro respectfully that blue flag will be as relevant as toilet paper as soon as any injustice happens to you, HSM is not gonna come save you with his turkish toys if hebel takes your land, its your reer thats gonna defend you, so you should put your clan first

But I agree that in theory we all want to see a reality where this becomes a thing of the past

Alhamdulliah. In Somaliland nobody uses a clan flag, we are all under the national flag.

For children the main thing for me personally is safety, comfort and education. Their identity first and foremost is somali and whatever their dad is (could be anyone). Qabiil isnt important imma be so real with you as long as they know where they come from exactly in somalia its not a problem. I would just tell them they are from xamar

i would tell them their region and city/village not clan. I want my children to interact with other somalis but only the second generation somalis that have children since I know there will he no emphasis on it and their kids will have educated parents.

overall i want them to integrate well into society and lift my family into wealth. Generational wealth>qabiil.

Not ceeb. Personally if i have kids im never teaching them what qabiil they are. Just their people (whatever their fathers ethnicity is).

are u a old man or a fob? Cant tell because no one under the age of 25 has your mentality
only out of touch diaspora think like you, reality is gonna slap you in the face the day you step foot in somalia
