Caydiid was already in Xamar before the 9th January 1991 when Sulux (Kacaan peace envoy) tried to negotiate a ceasefire with him, there are Keydmedia videos of this. These conflicting reports speak little of the reality, Galaal had his own agenda but if he controlled any fighting the Muxaafid (Sulux) would have negotiated with him instead.

The initial war was to encircle and gradually weaken the Kacaan hold on the country that was heavily militarised. USC were already burning MIG jet fighters in Balidoogle on the road to Afgooye before the last battle in Xamar even started, Qeybdiid's brother AUN was part of the operation.

If you followed the timeline of events, SPM were part of the tripartite agreement to get a consensus movement, USC were even involved in the fighting in the North according to the Indian Ocean Newsletter in 1988, whereas the SPM did no fighting from the 60th division until Afgooye let alone Xamar as the whole road was already cleared, the majority of their fighting was in the Afmadow and Jubaland areas, infact they were told by Caydiid to wait and hold the line at Ex Control Afgoye in the West while USC were stationed in Lambar 50 in the South and Balcad in the North. When Siyaad first fled he took the route to Baydhabo on the SPM flank thus allowing him room to escape which angered USC and many including Jees himself blames the subsequent attack on SPM on the Manifesto group meant to weaken the tripartite agreement. Caydiid actually practised restraint in an effort to respect the 3 way treaty but one joined the enemy (SPM) the other chose secession (SNM).

That was just a hit and run the real achievement was its capture which was completed by the SPM

The SPM of course took over Jubbaland first then moved to modern day KG. The road was not cleared by the USC. It was about two years of pressure that broke the SNA from within whilst being attacked.

That is completely false there is no sign of anyone supporting MSB until much after the initial attack from the Manifesto Group which happened because they unilaterally declared a new government and betrayed the original agreement.
