Somalis and Oromos enjoying eid together last year

Oromo's & Somali's will never have peace as long as Oromo's continue to be aggressors. Its 500+ years of aggression and it is now state sponsored. It's too bad.

there are actually plenty of somalis who speak afaan oromo, perhaps you just haven't been exposed to them. just go to eastern oromia where the two people trade, inter marry, and so on.

my father, Allah Yarhamu, spoke 4-5 languages [somali, afaan oromo, some arabic, amharic, english, etc]; we oromos are open minded and see learning new languages as an asset, and not a liability.
Exactly, I've never seen anyone here acknowledge the fact that many Somalis speak Oromo. Many Somali clans in Ogaden are now Oromo through conquest/assimilation

Some Ajuuraans even carry paternal abtiris that does not go to Samaale but Abu South Cushitic (the Cushites who moved into Kenya and Tanzania before the Bantus).
:ileycry: you believe in Samaale? I thought you were a logical guy. I hope that Bible thread didn't influence you lmao

About 3,100 years ago there was a man who fathered about 70% of Somali men. I call him Y-Chromosomal Samaale.
WTF? Most Europeans have a recent ancestor in the last 1-2,000 years and for us its 3000+ years? We are ancient af.

Actually.. lol.. Euros have more diverse Y-Chroms. Somalis are extremely bottlenecked on their Y-Chrom. Only really two lineages exist, one E lineage that is 3,100 years old and a T lineage that is 2,000 years old.

70%? The other 30% were my semite dir brothers who's father is of the tribe of Ad
I can't get my head around why you'd want to be related to these desert rats:

I was referring to this. I guess I misread it way back then as them having a common paternal ancestor within that timeframe, but there are mostly related within the last 1000 years.

Whether they are a Serb and a Swiss, or a Finn and a Frenchman, any two Europeans are likely to have many common ancestors who lived around 1,000 years ago. A genomic survey of 2,257 people from 40 populations finds that people of European ancestry are more closely related to one another than previously thought, and could help to bring about new insights into European history.
