Hargeisa is so safe and people are just honest with each other, the other day while I was walking around hargeisa, this old man who I never meet before just hands me a bunch of money to give to taxi driver and he didn’t even bother looking whether I walking towards the taxi or not just went about doing his thing.

I was in Turkey in May this when the Turks opened their border to Greece. The number of people trying to cross the border into Greece was hundreds of thousands and Somalis made up about 20%, the majority were Syrians followed by Iraqis.

Anyway, the majority of Somalis were South Somalia people.

Given the chance any Somali will do Tahriib. That is the fact.

But one thing that is unique to Puntland are petty crimes like shoplifting, piracy and humantrafficking. These are signs of deep systematic poverty. Nothing else makes a person to do shoplifting other than deep poverty and sense of desperation.

Even your clan melitia every now and then take over the local government bank because they have not received their salary or wages for months on end.

As trump said their not sending u their best but their worst. This study confirms the dead-weight we are carrying especially the southy being 80% of the un-educated in PL, can u imagine that? that means only 20% of the uneducated are reer puntland. These guys bring down wages and our market becomes effected also leading to a heaven for businesses using cheap ass un-educated southy instead of hiring locally as the 'wages' obviously will be vastly different due to higher human capital. Hence we need urgent govt intervention to begin deportation of this excess dead weight and keep businesses hostages to PL locals only which will mean higher wages of course.

f*ck a free market, there is no way a higher human capital labour pool in PL is going to compete with a lower human capital southy for employment and win. We need god damn government intervention that's what we need. Wallahi when I see those southies in PL, I know what their doing to our economy and it pains me to the point I wanna arrest them myself

The World Bank, IMF and United Nations numbers are far more reliable than anything you can produce, calling them "white" as an insult is not good enough.

As an example, posting a project in its initial stages as a dig shows the level of education we have in Somaliland, 50% literacy is not out of the question it is very believable. I'll trust the World Bank on that, thank you very much.
