This guy is a joker gadabursi literally came from borama opened up some shops and brought a cpuple of families. Saylac town has always been ciise majority. Dahir riyaale gave a guy from boon ( 130km) away the mayorship of saylac in 2013.

In the 2012 local elections when the border was closed, the Ciise weren't even able to get a few councillors into the Zeila local council and lost in a humiliating way:

Fast forward to the 2021 local elections when Biixi opened the border when he was on friendly terms with IOG and placed 13 polling stations in Lawyacado on the border with Djibouti to get the Ciise to win. Had the border been closed and only those who lived within the district voted everyone in this life and the Afterlife knows that the Ciise would not be able to win.

FYI: Boon is part of Salal, but during the elections the polling stations of Boon come under Borama districts so the votes in any elections go straight to Borama.

Gadabursi have lied about the territory they claim. The British Somaliland government specifically said that Gadabursi were landlocked and they had to go through Ciise territory ( saylac district) to trade for sea purposes. View attachment 378169

The British had a vested interest to reduce our land territories because we signed a Treaty with the French giving them the entire coast. So the British played clan politics by supporting friendly clans like the Ciise when justifying their claim to the coast. It's no surprise when the French like Rimbaud came and surveyed the coastal strip he mentioned the whole coast from Zeila to Bulhar was Gadabursi:

"There was a general fear, rightly so, of the Danâkil, that a caravan couldn't have been persuaded to take this path. Danger also existed for the route we chose via Wárabot and Henssa, made unsafe by the Gadaburssi raiders, but is the one more frequently committed."

There was a time when the two roads from Zeila was dominated by the Afar and Gadabursi.

You don’t know anything. The Samaroon rejected the Awdal State project and the whole war on Somaliland — but the Ciise accepted it.
Now they’re even holding a meeting… where? In DDS. They’re getting support from Cagjar in Jigjiga, and they were allowed to hold a meeting inside Ethiopia that interferes directly in Somaliland’s internal affairs.

They also got serious backing. The weapons they wanted to use against the Afar were moved close to the border. And that old guy in Djibouti is supporting them too.
And don’t forget the qadadweyn in Xamar.

After the war they started against Somaliland in the east — on the ground, in the air, and even at sea — now they want to open another front in the west.

These people are your enemy; they don’t want you to exist.
Right now, Samaroon and Isaaq need to stand together and face all of this, even if it means sparking a conflict inside DDS.
And you as HA you now that ciise They claim bulaxaar, ceel sheekh and all that cost The area is disputed by Somaliland, and ballot boxes are not being taken there because of them.
You know that Ina Cagjar the president of DDS banned any Qabil shir happening in the region but he allowed the Ciise to have one but why?? it looks to me Ethiopia and Djibouti authorities are trying to instigate clan warfare in horn of Africa

Meanwhile Ciise politicians in Ethiopia are cosying up to the Canfar who kicked them out of their land whilst simultaneously threatening war against the Gadabursi. Can't make this stuff up.
