Somalia was destined to fail even before independence

Somalia is the only country located in the equator that is a semi-desert. All other equatorial countries are hot and very wet. The Ethiopian highlands are blocking the moisture from reaching the Somali lowlands.

And how does that work scientist? where is your proof?
