The UAE has sour relations with Somalia because of their neutrality with the Qatar blockade and their strong relations with Turkey.

The UAE will love to see the division of Somalia because of this.

Somaliland and South Yemen are their newest allies. So the UAE strategically has control over the Gulf of Aden.

Somaliweyn/nimo didn't stop the civil war or improve the current state of affairs. People living in SSC prefer Somaliland so don't use populations/tribal % to determine what clans are supposed to side with FGS.

Besides irrational fear, what reason is there to be anti-Somaliland recognition when clearly that would help the new nation become successful? PL border dispute doesn't count. Without colonial borders, SL will never be recognized by AU so I don't wanna hear it.

The best way to reunite isnt to beg Somaliland to come back, we should just let them have peace. Somalia should focus on itself and become strong, and then and only then should we apologize to SL and show humility as we ask them if they could consider joining the nation. This constant bickering isnt getting either parties anywhere, we must focus on our futures in the continent and the globe.
