When you want to keep a nation on its knees you attack it’s heart which is Benaadir and the entire south central region of Somalia. Likewise if I wanted to attack Russia I would attack Moscow and St Petersburg in the west instead of Siberia. I would attack New York and LA to keep the US on its knees instead of Alabama.

Macawisley are good for the countryside but the big towns are the responsibility of the SNA so if Amisom leaves and SNA loses it the countryside will not have reinforcements.

At least they’ve held onto the Phase 1 land captured. Good start for the drought season which will make fighting Shabaab easy

If I'm not mistaken, the southern part of Somalia has the most natural resources. Wherever there are natural resources with the potential to make a country rich, instability often follows. Currently we should start experiencing less rain before October when it starts again till November. So August, September conditions should start improving before worsening again.

AS is not extracting any oil any time soon even if they capture the whole country . If you mean resource rich as in agriculture that I can get behind but that don’t explain why states like GM are overrun with AS. Somaliland is atleast strategically important and has a massive port.

They have no money, enough army so they want to use front line states(Ethiopia, Kenya, and Djibouti) in phase two in KG, western Hiiraan and JL Meantime, Atmis will be evacauating Some bases in Hiiraan, the two shabelle, lower juba, Gedo by September maybe Halgan 60km south of Baladweyne and Mahaday

Then the rest of Amisom will leave gradually till the end of 2024

Historically the Southern hinterland and benadir coast have been the most lucrative areas.
