@Lolalola is that what you have been reduced to mocking fellow muslims? You guys sure lack aklhaaq. Typical salafist :nahgirl:

Aww, that's so cute :abuxyga: If you really cared about aklhaaq when it came to discussing the diin, maybe you would've had the decency to condemn your fellow Sufis from calling everyone they don't agree with "terrorists" and "kuffar". You automatically lost the high ground when it devolved into that, so don't start preaching to me about good manners this far along. :mahubowtf:

Everyone is different, but the basic gist of Sufism that separates it from conventional Islam is that they usually mix in Pre-Islamic elements into the diin.
Every Innovation will be rejected.

Which scholars do they take knowlegde from?

I'm not entirely sure but TekNiKo cited the Shafi'i scholar Ibn Hajar al-Haytami al-Makki for one of his responses, so they likely just rely on contemporary Shafi'i scholars.

I'm fairly certain they aren't as pro-Sufi as they are anti-Salafi, though.

Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab's ideology largely echoes that of the early Salafs, so yes, I am defending Islam. Also, I've been arguing with *insert that guy who I'm too lazy to mention* about the hijab for the last several pages, which is not a uniquely "Wahabi" part of Islam. Before this new era of "Modernism", there was no debate about whether or not the hijab was a part of Islam--it was universally agreed upon that it was. Shia, Sunni, Shafi'i, Sufi. Even in the 20th century where secular socialism and communism prevailed, no one was lying about the significance of the hijab but rather everyone just didn't care. I'm genuinely confused about those who argue against it like *you know him*. What is he trying to accomplish by denying something that is so clearly a part of our faith?

@Lolalola

I don’t want to get involved but most non-Salafis won’t buy the idea that his philosophy was purely Islamic and anyone who rejects is a non-Muslim. That’s a similar argument that Alshabaab justifies for it's destruction of Somalis and Somalia.. Sufis=non Muslims.

I’m a former Salafi and know the tactics they teach their students to engage other Muslims. The starting point is tell them to follow only Koran and Hadiths and slowly shove the Salafi manhaj into their throats. If they object, accuse them of rejecting the Koran and Sunnah and that they’ve left the fold of Islam. Their interpretation is only one synonymous with Islam. How did Abdulwahab follow the early 3 generation of the Salaf when his spiritual leader was Ibn Taymiyyah who wasn’t a member of that generation? Abdulwahab’s writings echoed him and were based on arguments already made and presented by Ibn Taumiyyah who was an ultra radical preacher like Ahmed Godane of Alshabaab? Ibn Taymmiyah whom the Salafis put on a higher pedestal above all the other scholars has accused the Muslim authorities and the scholars of his generation to be heretics and that’s why he spent most of his time in jail which he later died in jail as radical as ever. There was no isnad that connected Abdiwahab to the early 3 generation of the Salaf, but as a new-born, his umbilical cord (Islamic knowledge) was attached to Ibn Taymmiyah. He hasn’t brought forth any new ideas other than what Ibn Taymiyyah already taught. I’ve to admit that Ibn Taymiyyah was a great writer and articulated his position better. So are modern Jihadists like Ayman Alzawahiri and others. Isn’t that true?

@Lolalola

No, you aren’t defending Islam from your fellow Muslims but you are defending Mohamed Abdulwahab and his ideology from others. That kind of “keligii Muslims” is why Wahhabism (their terror arm) is devastating the Muslim world and in particular Somalia in the form of Alshabaab.

Don’t start a new front and a new war with me. I refuse to identity with a biblical identity that has been cursed to become “dark skinned”. What will you say to your children? My great grandfather Noah got drunk one day and my grandpa saw him naked and then he cursed us and we became blacks. Take that rubbish to DDSI. I’m a proud black Nigerian Fulani man.

Anyhow the biblical name was just a name that was used describe us we where just called kasus meaning red skinned

Just like how Egypt was called mizraim or how we where all called hamites

Whatever you call it we are still culturally linguistically genetically related to other kasu cushitic Ethiopic or whatever you want to call them

Black is a scientific made up term that used to refer to ones skin colour but you never say that
