Even if every city in Somalia was liberal, millions being displaced and countless deaths a whole country destroyed was worth it because women in somalia now wear jilbaab and niqab
Salafism is a disease and our people will never be free until we rid ourselves of this dangerous ideology

Quran tells women to cover up their WHOLE bodies in a non revealing way. If you are a Muslim you should take the commands of Allah more seriously. Just because our ancestors did not cover properly does not mean that it is right.

I get the covering the whole body but does that necessarily include the face? I have only heard Salafi scholars say it is obligatory, the other schools of thought like Hanafi, Shafi'i and Maliki (maybe Hanbali) all say the awrah of a woman doesn't include her face and hands.
Plus, there is Sahih hadith from Al Bukhari's collection confirming this:
Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "A woman in a state of ihram should neither cover her face nor wear gloves" (Bukhari).

The poster I quoted was referring to the Jilbaab which does not cover the face. Whether face cover is obligatory or not, I am unsure but I know that covering the whole body and hair is a must. There was a Hadith mentioning how the Ansar women covered their faces when they went out after the hijab verses were revealed. I am unsure if it's wajib.
