People on here say that the Somali moms will teach their half ajanab kid about Somali culture , not true at All with these gen z people . They just don't give a damn about their culture once they marry ajanab .

1. In reality, nationalism is haram. There are literally various hadiths of the Prophet s.a.w prohibiting it.
2. According to many scholars, we should only be celebrating Eids ect. Celebrating National day/independence day is unislamic. ( I don't know how I feel about this)
3. You can love your nation and people. That is natural. I love being Somali. But we should not go overboard.
4. For people saying that 'My Ummah' isn't applicable in this day and age should question themselves. Do you think islam is timeless or only for a particular period of time? Making comments like that makes you fall into a trap.

The question had nothing to do with nationalism.
They asked her if shes proud to be somali simple yes answer, i wonder what she would've said if they asked if shes proud to be black. She took a loop and beat around the bush writing a paragraph for a simple question.
