Sick burn smooth-brain. I'm "pressed" because some whale deleted herself from the gene-pool, nice one lol
Ok if you're not pressed then why are even bothering yourself with all of these defensive reply's? You even poorly attempted to throw insults at me because I didn't agree with your views. You seem more emotionally invested in this than anyone here. :hmmm:

At this point I don't know if this is a mental illness.

A. The majority of women want children.

B. So why focus on the few women who don't? Do you want to force them to want children?

C. Why are men obsessed with women?

D. I hardly ever see girls here analyzing the things random men say, so why are so constantly policing what women say?

honestly this seemed kinda mild compared to the crazy shit some somali sjws is spewing on tiktok/twitter. I dont see what is wrong with what she said though can anyone enlighten me? From my experience I would believe most somali men want offspring and theres most likely somali women who does too so if she want to live a child free life let her die alone or married to an ajnabi who does too (not wanting to come off as rude).

Though you can debate on the fact that not wanting to recreate is selfish, what would happen if all people on this earth decided to follow this tiktoker and decide to never reproduce? What if animals decided that they dont want to have children? there you go. So you expect your people to do it but you not? Same goes to gay people, I've seen people on twitter saying that gay is the way or whatever but if everyone on this planet decided to take the homo route we would die out :p
So some people can have the privilege to not have children but everyone cant?
Theres nations like Japan where childbirth is at a decline. Not having children can be cute and all but keep these ideas to yourself instead of spreading it everywhere and making it seem like having kids sucks. Personally I don't even want to think of the idea of me not having children when I'm older, it would probably make me depressed.

If you support the idea of not having children, then you shouldnt have an issue when our whole race dies out fucking idiots (no disrespect i love you all here)

Purpose of all life is to propagate and reproduce, can't help but think these people are defective

Harsh but I kinda feel the same. The religious and philosophical reasons aside, the only observable purpose we can seem to glean from studying living beings and their existence is survival. All living things and their biology fundamentally exists for preserving their life and reproducing it. The "biological imperative", so to speak. The purpose of life is preserving life. Humans are a weird species in that we've developed a level of intelligence so complex through becoming apex predators via our smarts (tool-making, complex communication, pack-hunting etc) that we are now capable of overthinking our existence so much that we go against the fundamental reason all life seems to exist and do things like commit suicide or opt out of reproducing though, to be fair, I've often noticed due to some form of mental and/or physical illness and past trauma. Odd species. If we really do fail as a species and wipe ourselves out in the end then despite all the arrogant brouhaha around our "intelligence", humans will ultimately prove a failed evolutionary foray as "dumber" animals who wouldn't do things like avoid procreation would surely outlast us.

I mean, it's better to not overpopulate the world. :stressed:
Overpopulation is propaganda initially started by eugenicists as it's directed at people of developing nations that only produce a fraction of the pollution, while the ones perpetuating this narrative want to maintain their current massively unequal share of carbon emission output as to not disrupt their standard of life.

The issue quite the opposite for developed nations, i.e., low birthrates. They're are facing big demographical problems already.

I once read something that really resonated with me... along the lines of "our bodies are just vehicles & shelter for our genetic material to pass on". Our intelligence evolved as an adaptation to a hostile environment. No doubt it's been highly beneficial to our species; still it's crazy to think our sense of self has been maladaptive, actually decreasing fitness in some aspects as you mentioned.

During my first year in university we had this basic foundational environmental science course we had to take and I remember how they emphasized to us that there "aren't enough Earths" to sustain a whole planet's worth of people living like we do here in Dubai/Sharjah. The Earth is finite and the capitalist way of life with mad consumerism and constant growth is fundamentally incompatible with such a planet. People may not realize it but I think part of why modern society is so obsessed with space travel and the "new frontier" is that they fundamentally know this. That we need "new frontiers" to sustain this constant growth and moronic consumption.

They can of course try to change the status quo. Get people to stop using plastics, create an economic system that doesn't run on consumption, use agricultural methods that renew rather than degrade the topsoil and so on and so forth but that doesn't make big bucks for the billionaires of the world so... Nope.

Ending your bloodline which consists of millions of great grandparents because you don't want a child for some odd reason seems crazy to me o_O its always your parents dream to know that your children will pass on your DNA and have grandchildren

Brings this to mind. There is a biological argument that the main reason we even have brains is movement. There are creatures, for example, who will consume and dispose of their own brains as soon as they no longer need to move for the rest of their life-span. Makes sense when you think about it. Everything our big human brains do, once you ignore all the post-Neolithic obsessions we've developed like artistic and academic work is supposed to serve our survival. Allows us to move and have the skills needed to forage and hunt for food as well as find a mate and procreate.

It is simply a tool for movement and thinking that facilitates survival and reproduction. If we could gather nutrients and water from the soil and energy directly from the sun like plants we would have no need for one. Fits with what you say with that paraphrased quote "our bodies are just vehicles & shelter for our genetic material to pass on" in that our brains, muscle and everything we are can be thought of as a large shell wrapping our DNA and ensuring that it survives and is passed on. But yes, Humans beings are so smart that we can now think ourselves out of existence which seems like a hiccup.
