sleep was always the answer

Genuinely believe quality sleep is one of the most important things a person could have. I've been slowly implementing suggestions from this tweet I saw.

I bought an oura ring years ago but I never really tracked my sleep, this tweet got me to track it again. Not too sure about this weighted blanket buisness but if it improves sleep quality I might look into it. But for now room temperature is probably the most important thing. Already feeling the difference of consistent 8hrs

saying i heard. Dont stay up late for something you wouldn't get up early for.

I agree with everything expect coffee

coffee should be in the earliest part of the day. Caffeine has a half life of like 6-8 hours. it’ll still be in your system and ruin the quality of your sleep if you take some in the afternoon

yeah any coffee past noon - 2pm (I wouldn't drink it past noon personally) you're basically asking to have poor sleep. He didn't mention when he drinks the coffee though so I doubt he'd be stupid enough to drink it at times where it could effect sleep.

I drink it usually around 3 pm, a much-needed concentration boost, keeps me focused.

Does it keep you up later than when you intend to sleep? I mean as long as it’s not keeping you from sleeping less than it’s fine. Coffee has different effects on people.

I'm less sensitive to it, thankfully. I drink less now. I was working on a major project a few years back, I ended up taking caffeine pills, let's just say I felt my heart almost jump out of my chest, it was a long night.

:mjcry:

They’re a great pre workout. I like the powder tho for the taste.

I try to take my caffeine early as possible so none won’t be in my bloodstream

The noon stuff is very formulaic. It actually depends on how much caffeine you have. Half life is believed to be around 6 hours. If you have 400 mg for example before noon it won’t matter because 6 hours later you’ll still have 200 mg in your blood stream. You won’t sleep well in that case. Also if you regularly consume that much caffeine then it actually builds up over time instead of decreasing in your body.

I get what you mean, the rule is generally about having just a cup of coffee. The average cup is like 80-100mg at 240 ml serving size. So they say don't drink coffee before noon because the timing aligns with when the effects of 1 cup of coffee would taper off by night time.

1 cup of coffee does nothing for me anymore
