@Zakeriya @AhmedSmelly

Are you implying that Somalia was off with Siad Barre and his so called Scientific Socialism, over all what was his significant achievements during his 21 year reign, wasn't the Ogaden war a terrible and a fatal mistake, were his actions the bombings of Hargeisa and Buroa justifiable, was the killings of the sheikhs necessary wasn't there an alternative to deter their Islamist threats without shedding blood, was it a logical implication to mention that we are Muslim Arabs, why was he so afraid to stand up against Saudi Arabia and the wahhabist ideology encroached in Northern Somalia by Al Itixaad or he was just another african pawn of the Arab countries.

I don't know wether you are supporting him due to his clan or the fact you are in favour but prove me wrong there are loyalists still calling him aabo despite not hailing from MX or you could one of those ciyaal kacaan AKA SYL
We are just analyzing history. We are not pro-Siad barre. You are just angry that your people got killed by him. I dont care about dead people, They are with God. My emotions are non-existent for any dead clan members. They came and so they went. If I lived at that time I would have defended the oppressed.

The people who were raped and killed just for being Arabs :mjlaugh::ohdamn:.

did he have any Isaaq friends in his lifetime?
No he didnt have any arab friends. Isaaqs were working with Ethiopians. I would have killed them myself, those black Arabs. Any scum who works for the enemy of Somalia should be put down as the dog they are. Siad barre was bad but he was our leader. He was our problem and fighting against him in the time of war was a very bad move. Removing him before or after the war would have been a better option. But cowards are cowards for a reason.

He was a soldier that made it far beyond his conceivable reach. The attack on Somaliland was uncalled for, his corruption is arguably what lead to dissent and he created his own enemies. He took massive loans from the IMF and my biggest issue was him turning to the US and alienating the Soviets after first alienating the US. Once the Americans were done with their game they backed multiple “rebel” factions. As for the sheikhs I have no sympathy for them, we have since learned what their way of thinking produced. He was a foolish rabid dog that couldn’t tell friend from foe and in the end turned most of the nation and the world against himself. The point of this thread is to point out 2 things. He was right on the point of imperialists using religion as a tool to brew dissent and was right on a minority of Somali elites sucking the life of the majority who at the time were nomads and peasants. Honestly that remains true even to today, it was true even prior to him. Let’s not forget the government prior to him was not popular and was considered too sloppy and weak. That’s why most of the nation didn’t initially rebel when Siad took over, in fact a good portion of the country welcomed a strong man with open arms. This is my perspective, as for relations with the arabs I don’t know, clarify his stance for me.

my twin brother speaks the truth. Dont forget he used the same tactics he was against after he gained too many enemies. He became a pro-Qabilist at the end.

Somaliland, Puntland, Jubbaland are Siad barres children. I would say, they are worse than him when combined. Somalia is worse now, compared to Siad barres time. Now we have too many tyrannical regimes.
Better to have one enemy than several.:farmajoyaab::gaasdrink::yacadiim:

Ethiopia initially had American backing
@Zakeriya , @AhmedSmelly

you may agree or disagree

Since you are secularist ,let's not start at a bad foot, afterall this thread is all about learning and exchanging ideas ,
We are Somalis , ethnically and linguistically the same although we cannot say we are 90% homogeneous due to ethnic minorities also living with us but then again they aren't different from their counterparts despite the marginalisation taking place

I'd like to state what's really undermining our country
Nepotism
Tribalism
Falsified Arab Identity
National Negligence
Corruption
Political Delinquents
Secessionist States And Tribal Enclaves
Scarcity in the region
Predator Neighbours
Foreign Intervention
Foreign Interests
Caught in their proxy war crossfire
Religion in the constitution
Being in the Arab League
Denying instead of acknowledgement
Wishful thinking
Living in the past
Deadly Ego And High Risks
Spreading hate and mistrust among our young vulnerable generation
Brainwashing and indoctrination
Lacking the ability to verify what's true
Propaganda
Fake News And Somali Media Outlet
Ignoring our geopolitics and focusing on irrelevant causes
Turning a blind eye to child rape
Endorsing Terrorism
Bussinesmen bidding the next explosion to keep their stock exchange rates higher than their competitors
Competition
Sellouts And Crooks
Unqualified And Illegitimate Representatives
Human Trafficking
Organ Harvest
Citizens, Government Cabinets and the Army secretly working with Al Shabaab
The So Called War On Terror Created Shady And Lucrative Bussiness In The Pretext Of War AMISOM Have Expanded Their Mandate
NGO's Exploiting And Extorting The Locals

We are screwed sxb

Unless we establish a strong paramilitary guerilla group to salvage what's left of our country , our people must have salvation

Dude I am 100% for this, but it wont happen until the wars in a macro level starts. Remember the things you stated are just signs of the last day. To understand where we are, you should know how it ends. We are very close to the WORLD WAR.

Sxb I'm neither from the North none of lineages traces back there, but I was shocked that a prominent Somali leader would take a decisive action to bomb a Somali town .
There could have been another alternative action if he were to devise a preliminary action taking precaution against a rebel held stronghold is a strongly necessity to avoid civilian casualties
He had the capabilities to send mobilised ground troops instead of bringing the entire air squadron, tactical precision if necessary but carpet bombing was extremely inappropriate

This created a leverage for the SNM and used his reckless actions as an example to justify their secession

Also it impacted the South and created this fear that he's capable of re-enacting
Which led to his ousting in the end

Am I right

The problem is most Somalis aren’t patriotic enough, I don’t support some of the actions of MSB but he was far better leader than anything we have had since.

All facts, in fact when the Soviets told him to Leave Ogaden alone the MJs agreed they should but he did it anyway and lost. When the MJs rebelled after the loss he poisoned their wells and killed their livestock :jcoleno::chrisfreshhah:
:lolbron:I would do the same for MJs i dont blame him.
Im not MX. but that nikka siad barre was the best president somalia will ever have. At the end of his time he fackked everything. we are still harvesting his crops. He could just pass the power to any loyal tribe. Or more like give the power to isaaq and mj. He did facked up things but shit we missed him man. Somalinimo died with him:francis:

lmaoo i forgot i was debating the same guy that showers once every 2 weeks
Dont defame my name, it was an experiment, This experiment led me to believe I have the unique gene that East Asians have, the non-functional ABCC11. Making my sweat glands produce less sweat while in turn make me less prone to body odor.

I shower 2-3 Weekly, dont spread lies about me. You are a @Frostybigmo1 , please lie down so we can take turns on you. Payment will be our milk. You will happily accept our offer, while the milk runs down your legs.

You milk spewing, booty clapping, ass riding, good for nothing skinny as geljiree :pacspit:

@P4$t0 dont believe his lies and Everybody else who see his post about me. Dont trust a FOB geljiree who sells himself.

So true wallahi. Funny thing is my mom always tells me that Somalia won't be restored back to its former glory until someone similar to MSB (picture Erdogan) or a MSB 2.0 gets in charge..

Visionary from Garbaharey
MSB was the last true leader we had. He messed up a bit but the 30 years that followed showed the dufficult job Siad Barre was doing in keeping the Somalis together
