An interesting parallel can be drawn between the similarity of Somalias demographics and the makeup of ”somali” gangs. Somalia has had ethnic minorities for hundreds of years who have assimilated into their new host country and have become part and parcel of this new nation. Same process has seemingly happened with the somali gangs, whose members have become integral part of the group.

Is it a process of that has happened due to multicultural west or does it has its roots in Somalia itself? What a wonderful question.

This is a good thing. Young second gen Somalis aren’t hopping into the streets because most of them were raised right.

Yea I’m related to men like this so its easier for me to give them some sympathy. I got some older male relatives that became felons during their youth and some that went to college to chase the American dream.
