Ibn Taymiyyah( Rahimahullah) was a righteous man.@Lum
Look Sxb, their Methodogy is Salafiyah and the split came during the first Gulf War when Osama demanded from the Saudis that his mujahideen group from Afghanistan be given the role to drive Sadan Hussein from Kuwait and the Kingdom rebuffed him. Prior to that point, they were all a happy family of Salafis. Like the Saudi Salafis, they do strongly follow the teachings of Ibn Taymiyyah than any other scholar, is he a khawarij too? Ibn Taymiyyah died in jail and he was accused of similar allegations. Same methodology, their only difference is the concept of jihad and their accusations of the inability of the Saudi regime to practice a proper Salafi doctrine because of foreign pressures.
