Saudi Arabia Opening Up To Tourism, why?

Saudis have wasted their resources from their petro $$$ in propagating Wahabism all over the Islamic world and beyond and buying off the support of Muslim regimes to reign supreme against their regional foe, Iran. The war in Yemen has exacerbated and depleted their resources without a victory in sight. Now, they want to supplement their budget for opening up to overseas tourists and thus have relaxed their "Islamic" laws because from now on, foreign females are exempt from wearing the abaya and it is not necessary these women to be accompanied by a male guardian. Chicks with $$ are welcome. They project about 10% of their gdp to come from tourism. The winner? Do you remember how Salafis and in particular the Saudis were hell bent in demolishing the historical places, homes and the burial sites of Mohamed, his family and his companions? Now, they realised that these sites are very important to attract tourists and will be maintained.

@Lum please pass the latest Saudi memo to ISIS and Alshabab to leave alone the Sufi shrines in Somalia.

For too long, the Saudis have brainwashed their Salafi squadron that a woman can’t travel alone without a guardian and now, they’re saying the Hadiths have being updated and the old ones were abrogated. It seems that Sheikh @Lum has no problem whatever new information is released by the supreme leader, the Saudi Mufti, Al-Sheikh. No comment by the rest of the followers, maybe they’re shocked by the lies and propaganda they had been fed by the Salafi trained Somali sheikhs.

You expected something here didn't you?!?!?
please pass the latest Saudi memo to ISIS and Alshabab to leave alone the Sufi shrines in Somalia.

Ahlu-Sunnah is defending them and I believe that a few are national monuments. AS are cowards, not even the Italians dared to touch them, Mussolini even declared a death sentence to those that touched the tombs of Islamic Saints in Eritrea, Libya and Somalia, yet some Saudi wanna-be's think they can?

I’m so glad for maskeen elders who are thoroughly taken advantage by so called “travel agencies” who charged them exuberant amount to retrieve a visa for them. This is coming to pass. Elders can now make a Umrah by just purchasing $80 e-visa

@R.Kelly

Do you think they will accept Somalis from Somalia (on Somali passports) as tourists?

"Citizens of 49 countries will be able to apply for online visas as of Saturday. More details on specific countries would be made available later on Friday, but China, Japan, Europe and the United States are targets."

https://www.dw.com/en/saudi-arabia-offers-foreign-tourists-visas-for-first-time/a-50601037

It is tourism and not Umrah visas.

All Muslim terrorists are Salafis, but all Salafis are not terrorists. Sibling talk.
Clueless.

What are they?
«It’s The actions of the Khawaarij. And it is declaring the Muslims to be disbelievers, and more severe than that is the killing of the Muslims and transgressing against them through terrorist activities. And this is the manhaj of the Khawaarij, it comprises of three aspects:

Firstly - Takfeer of the Muslims.

Secondly - Disobedience to the ruler.

Thirdly - Making permissible the blood of the Muslims.

This is the manhaj of the Khawaarij.»

May Allah forgive me for saying this but if it wasn’t for Mekkah and Medina I wouldn’t be upset if a natural disaster was to destroy Saudi Arabia. The way how they treat migrants, refugees and domestic workers is horrible. I had a relative who worked there as a maid , the woman of the house threw boiled water over her when she was sick in bed and couldn’t get up. The “gaalo “ western countries have accepted Somali refugees, given them citizenship even though Saudis are supposed to be the “leaders of the ummah “ .

Look Sxb, their Methodogy is Salafiyah and the split came during the first Gulf War when Osama demanded from the Saudis that his mujahideen group from Afghanistan be given the role to drive Sadam Hussein from Kuwait and the Kingdom rebuffed him. Prior to that point, they were all a happy family of Salafis. Like the Saudi Salafis, they do strongly follow the teachings of Ibn Taymiyyah than any other scholar, is he a khawarij too? Ibn Taymiyyah died in jail and he was accused of similar allegations. Same methodology, their only difference is the concept of jihad and their accusations of the inability of the Saudi regime to practice a proper Salafi doctrine because of foreign pressures.

So you blame an entire country because of this incident? That’s like the west saying all muslims support terrrorists. It doesn’t make sense. Saudi Arabia is country upon Tawheed and Sunnah. They may not be perfect, but none of us are.

«
  • The terms Salafi, Sunni, Ahlus-Sunnah walJamā’ah, As-hābul-Hadeeth and Ahlul-Hadeeth are all intercharable.
  • All these titles refer to the same body of people who all follow the same path. However, not everyone who uses these titles is a true adherent of what they represent. In fact, the majority of people who ascribe themselves to these labels have beliefs and methodologies in opposition to the path of the Salaf As-Sālih. To distinguish between a mere claimant and a true adherent is one of the main purposes of this article.
To be a Salafi means adhering to the Creed, Methodology and the way of life of the Salaf As-Sālih (the Pious Predecessors). The earliest Salaf were the generation of our Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) and his Companions. Then after them came the three virtuous generations of believers who held fast to the Sunnah (Path) of the Prophet and his Companions. The person who understands this path correctly, follows it exactly, without introducing anything into it and nor deviating from it is a Salafi. To be a Salafi is not merely to imagine that one is upon the true path of the Salaf, but Salafism is to study the religion of the Companions and follow it — it was they who understood best the meanings and intent of the speech and actions of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم).»
