The real temperature change hasn’t even started yet and you can see the average has gone noticeably higher.
It’s difficult to see russia becoming a liberal and tolerant democracy because of its fundamental opposition to the Untied States. They’ve been old enemies and that can’t quickly change. A democratic Russia would hardly justify the huge military spending. Also the oligarchs and the upper class benefit from a corrupt Russian government. So a change in russia isnt going to happen anytime soon. One despot will replace another.
