nope if everyones against you, your a bad politician/president, every qabil should be on your side and satisfied as president of somalia, we happen to have an amateur in office though
You're calling this admin amateurs, but the current President is the former Prime Minister and has an advanced degree from the US. In comparison to the former transitional leaders like Shiekh Sharif who was a Quranic teacher and a leader of the ICU/Shabaab. And Hassan Shiekh who also held minimal qualifications.
On the other hand your favorite leader AY was widely hated by many different groups which led him to resign from his transitional role as president, by your own logic would you also deem him as a bad politician? Since most qabilis were not on his side much less satisfied.

I agree with you on HSM and Shariff credential wise, but they did do a bit better job on getting everyone on there side, as for AY he resigned by your own admission and thus is a politician that can read and gauge the room
When the World Bank, United Nations, US, and other international partners acknowledge the ongoing progress in Somalia by this current administration it only proves their working model is efficient. They've consolidated a group of leadership that follows their roadmap in HS and KG already with GM's capital and electoral venue under their control. The shacab also have never held long-winding demonstrations against them. So when a few opposition politicians and failed former presidents are the only people who need convincing then I think this government is doing their job very well. They should not only continue on this path, but double down on their policies. This government is pledging to crackdown on corruption to an extent that hasn't been seen for nearly 3 decades and has built a capable infrastructure for the military. To be able to get their earnings on time as well as help the government know where they are stationed and ensuring their is no middle man that can take their salary. The insurgents have been routed out of many different areas and their rare attacks have been dwindling in numbers. And for the most part it isn't even them conducting these attacks but spoilers of the government who then tell the islamists to take credit. But our partners know that they are losing ground daily. Our debt relief efforts are nearing fruition while the world bank acknowledges that current policies will allow for continued growth all while there is this much instability caused by spoilers and opposition with vested interests against the resurgence of the country.
"Army Gen. Stephen Townsend, the new commander of U.S. Africa Command, visited Somalia on Wednesday and pledged to continue pressuring violent extremists such as al-Shabab.
Townsend is now on his first trip to the African continent since he took charge of AFRICOM July 26. He met with Somali Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khayre in the capital city of Mogadishu, as well as U.S. Ambassador Donald Yamamoto and senior Somali military leadership, AFRICOM said in a release.
AFRICOM said Townsend’s trip allowed him to assess the situation in Somalia, and reinforce AFRICOM’s commitments to the region’s security.
“I am committed to working together and advancing our partnership with Somalia,” Townsend said in the release. “Along with Somalia and other international partners, we will apply continued pressure on violent extremist organizations. This pressure creates conditions and opportunity for further political and economic development.”
Townsend said that Somali forces must keep pushing al-Shabab out of the remaining areas they hold to free Somali people living there, and that degrading the terrorist group’s threat supports the interests of both Somalia and the United States.
“We’re in the business of protecting our country from these threats,” Townsend said. “Degrading the capability of terrorists who operate here makes the entire region safer and prevents its export to other places. This is important work for our country, the Somalis and our allies.”
In a sign of how American involvement in Somalia is increasing, AFRICOM carried out as many airstrikes in the nation in the first seven months of 2019 as it did for the entirety of 2018. According to statistics from AFRICOM last month, the U.S. military carried out its 47th airstrike in Somalia on July 27 to target suspected Islamic State militants in the Golis Mountain region, which is a reputed terrorist hotbed."
AFRICOM said Wednesday that the U.S. is coordinating its diplomacy and development efforts with military activity. Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs David Hale also met with Khayre in Mogadishu earlier this week, and pledged to continue U.S. support for Somalia’s political reforms, economic development and stabilization.
“They agreed on the value of security operations to liberate areas from al-Shabab and preparing Somali forces to take over from the African Union Mission to Somalia,” State Department spokesperson Morgan Ortagus said in the release.
The Prime Minister added the partnership with the U.S. is key to reform and sustaining progress, according to the AFRICOM website.
“Through our strategic partnership and support with the U.S. government, Somalia has made tangible progress in security, reconciliation, and debt relief,” said Khaire, adding the two nations will continue to partner meaningfully in pursuit of their bilateral interests.
As part of its support, AFRICOM is training a Somali military force called the Danab, a specially-trained unit of the Somali Security Forces that focuses on fighting al-Shabab and ISIS-Somalia. Al Shabab is believed to have been responsible for an October 2017 truck bombing in Mogadishu that killed 500 people and a January attack on a hotel in Nairobi, Kenya, that killed more than 20 people. AFRICOM said that the al Qaida-connected al-Shabab “remains the largest and deadliest terror organization in East Africa” and the region’s “principle security challenge.”
Townsend met with U.S. units training the Danab, and praised the job they are doing.
“The United States of America offers the best security partnership and training in the world,” Townsend said. “We invest in our partners, dedicating the time, energy and commitment to make sure they are ready for any challenge.”

"The World Bank has backed Somalia’s economy to grow above expectations for the next three-to-five years, if the country can sustain its current economic reform momentum.
The Horn of Africa country has been in turmoil since 1991, when clan warlords overthrew President Siad Barre and then turned on each other. Over the past decade it has been hit by famine and sporadic terror attacks by al Qaeda-linked militant group al Shabaab.
Several indicators over the last 12 months have demonstrated that Somalia is well on its way to recovery from the years of turmoil and economic distress.
Somalia on the rise
Tax collection by the government increased by 29% last year, as the economy recovered from a drought the previous year and the government changes its tax policies, the World Bank said.
The Washington based lender, in September last year, approved the first loanto Somalia in 30 years, $80 million to fund public finance reforms.
In May this year, the International Monetary Fund said Somalia’s economy was on the right track but warned that it was still vulnerable to fragile security, climate change and poverty.
In November last year, continent aviation powerhouse, Ethiopian Airlines made its first landing in the Somali capital Mogadishu after 40 years absence.
“Our flights will quickly grow to multiple daily flights given the huge volume of traffic between the two sisterly countries and the significant traffic between Somalia and the rest of the world,” Tewolde Gebre Mariam, Ethiopian Airlines’ chief executive, said in a statement."

History will show those illiterate past presidents have been up to no good. Imagine what we can achieve if we can have the likes of Farmaajo, Kheyre, Beyle and co in the next 30 years. Man, we might have sent a man to the moon by then.
This is the golden age of somali leadership.
There is no going back.
