Regions with the richest Somali culture

That's jaandher
How is it jaandher when it is different? This is what jaandher looks like:

Just because they are both spinning around doesn't make it the same dance. Notice how people who do jaandheer don't make the circular movements and don't stop to spin in the opposite direction, instead they just spin for a while then stop completely or when they do spin in another direction it is only because they moving forwards or backwards they don't change direction while standing in one position. They also do extra things that are not done in the dance from the first vid I showed you.

The second vid I showed you might look similar to Jaandheer but people the people who do jaandheer don't move in sync and don't continuously change direction when moving forwards and backwards. They also don't do some of the movements shown in the second vid.

However you are right about the dance it shows when the vid randomly changes to another vid of people doing jandher shown at 1:34 to 1:41.

It’s becoming part of the standard you must admit there’s a reason dances like dhaanto etc have spread to the south while southern culture isn’t held in as high regard amongst somaliweyn
Wdym by “high regard”. Southern culture has influenced somaliweyne at a great level. Most Somali brides wear shaash dress, they do shaash saar, guntiinos with alindi material. Somali men also wear the koofiyad. All of these come from southern culture and has now become a staple for weddings across somaliweyne.

I’ll be honest clothing and food wise yes there has been influence from the south

but when it comes to what’s seen as authentic Somali culture most people will point to waqooyi and galbeed instead of the south because of the music poetry language history also you know the north especially sanaag region is seen as the birth place of the Somali people

SL Hooyga suugaanta iyo dhaqanka soomaalyeed. Landers excelled in Gabay, Heeso, Riyaawado iyo Suugaan for decades and nobody does it better than them.

:whew:

This is abwaan gamadiid before becoming an AS scum explaining true geeljire culture that exist in SL

Why are people always trying to argue that their region's culture is superior to every other? It reeks of insecurity. Our regional differences are great and showcase the variety of lifestyles throughout our history.

Ngl I’m not from either of these places but if I had to choose it probably would be galbeed and SL when it comes to poetry and music and language they hold it down historically till present day what do you guys think which regions are holding it down the most when it comes to the culture
For craftmanship its djibouti, only place I went that still has traditional craftmen in the north

Kacaan regime propped up northern culture and made it the standard. It was illegal to speak with a non-north accent on Radio Muqdisho during the kacaan, for example.

don't flatter yourselves, huunos.
