I’m against stop and search because I believe the police have a racial bias. However, as it’s now part of the law I would tell my son to comply.

Instead of telling him to comply the women heightened the situation and was obstructing the law and you have to admit her behaviour made him look even more suspicious.

If my son committed a crime, wallahi I would not try to cover up the evidence. I would let justice take its course because if I gave him impunity, he would carry out bigger and bigger crimes until there was a situation I could no longer cover and he would ruin his entire life.

I was being deliberately provocative because a few hours before this thread @World and @Wei were singing the praises of the police officer shooting a black man with a knife 6 times. I felt the violence the police perpetratored was disproportionate to the threat the man carried. I succeeded in bringing out their level of hypocrisy when they were now chanting f*ck the police. We in Europe are shocked and our instinct is why did police not deescalate the situation at hand but in the US they have a different mentality.
