Kids are a lot more ‘educated’. It makes me cringe saying this. Despite the older generation being less far removed from the brutality of colonization, many that were not directly effected might know it was a difficult time, but haven’t really bothered to do research about how much worse it truly was. The children of immigrants were born in the age of information, also whether you like the West or not, there is no denying that questioning and critical thinking is common amongst the youngsters here who would often be exposed to different theories and discourses.
