I've never seen any Puntite who wanted to secede from Somalia in real life. The first time I heard this was on Somalispot.
If Somaliland didn't gain independence (which it probably will never get), why even bother?

Check the comment section. Many Puntlanders are not that naive, they realize ictiraaf won't work otherwise it would have worked for Somaliland region (close to 30 years of ictiraaf doonis).

All Puntland needs is help extracting and selling its natural resources and we would easily become one of the wealthiest and peaceful nations on earth.
We have oil, onshore and offshore, a massive coastline, the highest wind speeds on earth (renewable energy)
