Weirdly enough, they get better work opportunities in places like Puntland and Somaliland than Ethiopia. Their country is slowly becoming overpopulated and the their government is downright idiotic business wise. Very closed and jittery about any rebellion elsewise Somalis would've brought all their business to Addis and not Nairobi. So Somalia is generally just more open for business and opportunity. Plus, most of them see our land as just a springboard for going to Arabia, the west or Asia as a whole.

That is correct. Very low samples and they don't have their section or sub-section.

In terms of the influence, I don't know. It's hard to say. We need more studies on it; I hope my theory is correct though.

Somalis don't want them, usually. Despite how poor and ruined our country is there's a hilarious "Mexican" type situation where, in reality, the Oromos and Xabashis are not actually stealing any jobs. They do the work Somalis don't want to do. All the menial labor work that Somalis, similar to Arabs, feel is beneath them. Unfortunately for us, we lack the petrodollars to justify such hubris in this day and age.



But a lot of Somalis do just get over that nonsense and do what needs doing but even so, Bantus, Oromos and the like still don't truly compete with them and do bottom of the rung stuff the locals wouldn't want to do or just work for the locals like at a barber shop in Bosaso I was at not too long ago where the shop manager was a Somali, the owner was a Somali and just like one of the barbers was an Oromo.
