Reason why cadaans get along with Yardies than Somalis: Christianity, hip hop privileges, and 400 years of British slavery. Even then, the yardies have little to show for their assimilation and they have been surpassed in education and jobs by Asians. Yardies have to now marry west Africans in order that they do not become extinct as so many of them married white women in the last 40 years.

There is actually merits to mass group networking like Somalis in Minneapolis. Those Arabs and Indians in the Uk are filthy rich whilst largely living within their own communities and doing business with each other. Who cares if some cadaans buy drugs from yardies and listen to reggae with them. It won’t make you rich lol.

Yep it's a very weird phenomenon and in the UK they can't keep their mouths shut about us. The Black (specifically carribean) people in the UK try so hard to throw all the hate onto Muslim groups (including us) through their shared Christianity and history despite them being Black but it'll never work as you can see with the the Notting Hill parade discourse going on around social media they will never like anyone non white not even that non western Europeans bc they don’t even like eastern Europeans

Very weird as Somalis are a very small population in the UK and diaspora in general.

What does assimilation mean? Cultural genocide.

Where are the native Britons? They do not seem to speak Welsh, Cornish, or Breton. The Normans and Saxons forced assimilation upon them through the use of force. While the crown kept them under its heel for centuries.

They are the ones who need self-emancipation and a class revolution instead of focusing on minorities. The call is coming from inside the house. They are being oppressed by their own. I really think many of them suffer from transgenerational fears of conquest that come from their ancestral trauma. Brutal colonialism started in-house by other Europeans who saw them as the "Other."

Britishness is an imperial project. Imagine being forbidden to speak your own language, engage in your customs, and wear your own dress. That is what happened to the Scots, Welsh, and Irish. And yet they think Somalis want to be part of that? lol.
