I know it’s the minority that does these stuff but It’s lowkey a serious problem though. Some of them just out right copy it with no creativity and just name it completely different.

They literally follow us everywhere & keep up with everything we do like she’s literally in Nashville which has a decent sized Somali community and no, I don’t think that’s a coincidence. MN, Seattle, Columbus and Nashville? This isn’t normal. Like @trf said it’s Somali woman cosplay. Their ancestors created no clothing for them to wear proudly so they imitate us and try to justify it with diff excuses like β€œwe’re neighbors so it’s no surprise our cultures have things in common” or β€œit’s east african culture” but ask yourself why you never see other Ethiopians dress like this or why you don’t see us imitating them & whatever they wear (I couldn’t even tell you what they wear because I don’t know anything about their culture lol). This is cultural appropriation and these people are the same people who have no issue calling out an caadan woman in braids or whatever but will fight for the right to dress like us (but not credit us). This is beyond creepy

Even the fact that they are using shiny material for their version of Sadex Qayd, seems like an inspiration from dirac. These people never traded with the world nor did they bring in silk, cotton and other items needed to have a thriving fashion industry.

Because Habesha women's clothing aren't that nice, and Habesha woman don't have that the model height to make the clothes pop even more. In addition, Habeshas didn't trade with the world. Most of our problem is due to Somali traders who sold our clothes to the outside world and didn't market it heavily enough as 'Somali'/

If Somali women wore it, it would look better due to the height, long neck etc.

That is why the modelling world always sought out certain features and there is only one Ethiopian model I know of, even though many are gaalo and would have no issues modelling.
We barely see Ethiopian men that reach 6 foot, let alone their women reaching 5'7

No matter what they do, they can never infiltrate our families which is why I will NEVER advocate for the abolition of the qabiil system.

You are correct, yes. Our qabiilism is a shield of sorts. It is in fact their society that is vulnerable to Somali espionage.

Hm. I recuse myself from such activities in the future, though. I can't be trusted. I'm a morally dubious fellow. I can completely see myself somehow making it to the top of Oromo society, somehow becoming their Supreme Leader and being like, "Hmm, why don't I..." Then leading an Oromo conquest of Somaliwen, leveraging my experience in the Somali intelligence community and the Oromos' outlandish numbers and cultish behaviour to install myself as Supreme Leader of both groups.
