One thing I really hate about summer

ngl i did this when i wanted to marathon movies during the day on the big screen. no glare from the sun. but that shit drastically fucks up your mood.

I don't mind keeping my room semi dark most of the time since I'm never in there unless I'm sleeping. Most days I pull em of in the morning and open the windows for some fresh air

I think it's residue trauma from my childhood; hooyo used to open the curtains and pull the duvet off when she woke us up all while shouting at us. Freezing weather + glare of the sunlight + someone screaming @ u = horrible way to wake up :mjcry:

It got so bad that I started sleeping inside the duvet covers just to avoid having it ripped from me :damn:
Buy dark coloured blinds babe, I have dark wooden blinds in my room, no sunlight comes through..... Bliss
:fittytousand:

I would but it doesn't fit into the aesthetic of my room lol

Maybe I'll start wearing it, I've never worn it tbh because I've never had an actual sunburn

Hope you like dark asphalt :mjpls:

I dunno, I understand colorism is a problem in the Somali community but I don't mind my dark skin. If anything I'm pretty indifferent towards it

I'm so dark that once I had a roomate looking for make-up in my room and she sat on me think that I was a dark pillow among the white sheet. I peed a little as it woke me up and thinking "Is this how I die, under the fat ass of a white woman?" :mjcry:

I can't stand the heat, I take freezing cold showers but my happiness is blasted by the heat a second later :damn: idk how I'll be able to survive visiting Somalia if my definition of burning hot is 28C/83F
