Argument= Hararis are cushites
View attachment 363624
I always use sources you can check out my past I never ever say something that is not sourced I always say truth but there is no need for me to argue with this person.

He claims Hararis are Hadiya and came from there πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Hararis are semites how on earth could they be Hadiya who are cushites are you trying to argue the fact that Hararis are Cushitic, if you are trying to say that there is no need for me to bring sources or discuss this with you macasalama.
Galla troll the hadiyya region had parts of gurage under it. Hadiyya was a regional term

The hararis today descend from these east-gurage semite refugees who were escaping your expansion and so does their language. Your kind had nothing to do with the town. The walls were erected to keep your pagan people out. His arguments aren't from his ass like yours. Now stop derailing the thread galla

Like I said there is no need for me to bring sources for this pointless arguement you brought forward. you wanna mention Brakumper but you dont know he himself mentions the islamisation of Oromos in Hararghe Carcar in the 13th century πŸ˜‚.

sxb your trying to say a ethnicity just emerged in the 20th century called Hadiya right? and the tribe name Hadiya was only a region? no need for us to argue about this if this your view point do as you wish.

Nur ibn Mujahid being Somali does not justify you claiming Harar is somali area. For an example Donald Trumps Grandfather was German but he is now American.

If one man is Somali it doesn't mean the whole area is Somali for an example Babille has a somali population but most of the city is oromo you cannot then say it is a Somali city

if Somalis were hunted down why weren't Oromos? Haile Selassie was far more anti oromo then somali.

What a troll... this forum is literally littered with quotes and sources showing the purge. And plenty of sources, including the messy orientalist Burton, showing that Somalis used to be 2/3rds of the city's population before said purge:

In 1855, Burton described Harar as having an approximately 8,000 inhabitants; 3,000 Bedouins (seasonal Somali nomads) who "come and go", 2,500 Hararis, and 2,500 Somalis. - source

Even the ruling Emir's principal wife was a Somali, an arrangement his line maintained for generations. A Somali of the same tribe was also his leading diplomat who tended to Harar's recording keeping as well:

Not just that, saaxiib, they were by their own admission, for generations marrying a Somali qabiil and most likely kept at it because they needed to ensure smooth trade along the routes to Berbera and Saylac. They knew that without consistent Somali ties, Harar was donezo. That Amir himself most likely had a Somali/Bartire mother:

"The Amir Ahmed’s health is infirm. Some attribute his weakness to a fall from a horse, others declare him to have been poisoned by one of his wives.30 I judged him consumptive. Shortly after my departure he was upon the point of death, and he afterwards sent for a physician to Aden. He has four wives. No. 1. is the daughter of the Gerad Hirsi; No. 2. a Sayyid woman of Harar; No. 3. an emancipated slave girl; and No. 4. a daughter of Gerad Abd el Majid, one of his nobles. He has two sons, who will probably never ascend the throne; one is an infant, the other is a boy now about five years old."

"The Berteri, who occupy the Gurays Range, south of, and limitrophe to, the Gallas, and thence extend eastward to the Jigjiga hills, are estimated at 3000 shields.27 Of Darud origin, they own allegiance to the Gerad Hirsi, and were, when I visited the country, on bad terms with the Girhi. The chief’s family has, for several generations, been connected with the Amirs of Harar, and the caravan’s route to and fromBerberah lying through his country, makes him a useful friend and a dangerous foe. About the Gerad Hirsi different reports were rife: some described him as cruel, violent, and avaricious; others spoke of him as a godly and a prayerful person: all, however, agreed that he had sowed wild oats. In token ofrepentance, he was fond of feeding Widads, and the Shaykh Jami of Harar was a frequent guest at his kraal."

Note how his first and principal wife is the Somali daughter of the Garaad Xirsi. One of the Amir's chief politicians who often represented him in local dealings with neighboring polities and tribes is also a Somali of this tribe:

"Shortly after arrival, I sent my Salam to one of the Ulema, Shaykh Jami of the Berteri Somal: he accepted the excuse of ill health, and at once came to see me. This personage appeared in the form of a little black man aged about forty, deeply pitted by small-pox, with a protruding brow, a tufty beard andrather delicate features: his hands and feet were remarkably small. Married to a descendant of the Sherif Yunis, he had acquired great reputation as an Alim or Savan, a peace-policy-man, and an ardent Moslem. Though an imperfect Arabic scholar, he proved remarkably well read in the religious sciences, and even the Meccans had, it was said, paid him the respect of kissing his hand during his pilgrimage. In his second character, his success was not remarkable, the principal results being a spear-thrust in the head, and being generally told to read his books and leave men alone. Yet he is always doing good β€œlillah,” that is to say, gratis and for Allah’s sake: his pugnacity and bluntnessβ€”the prerogatives of the β€œpeaceful”—gave him some authority over the Amir, and he has often been employed on political missions amongst the different chiefs."

The name of the town is literally a Somali word and the guy who supposedly founded it in its current state, Nur Ibn Mujahid, and ordered the building of it's walls is confirmed even by Harari records looked at by bloody cadaans to have been Somali.

Most of the officials before the Xabashis came were also seemingly Somali:

As were all the crafts people like blacksmiths and woodworkers; you know, the people who were actually maintaining the town. This and the sort of "artisanal taboo" culture in the Horn is why the Adarehs/Hararis, as Burton describes in his time, have a negative view of many of the Somalis in the city and call them "Tumur" (like Tumaal) even though the Emir's wife is one as are many of the top officials.

We have receipts upon receipts, mon frΓ©re. But nice try. Not even really a reply to you, truth be told, as I doubt you are an honest actor who will adjust in any way. Just trying to prevent you from misinforming people lurking. I'll leave it at that.

Braukamper's work is unreliable

Warra Qallu are not somali infact it is a institution within the Gada system and most clans of oromo have Qallu in them like Wollo, Guji, Ittu, Arussi, Borona some of these groups are completely isolated from any contact with the somali. Qallu is descended from Wollo.

Braukamper claims Oromos in Arussi became muslim anytime during the life of Sheikh Hussein he even cites Paulitschke

Sheikh Hussein (13-16th century) islamisation of the Arussi Oromo

"Among the southern Galla the Panigal are said to have been the first to have adopted Islam. Shaikh Husayn, a Somali from Harar, had preached it to them. At which time this happened cannot be defined. ... The Panigal permitted him to settle among themselves, accepted Islam, and Husayn could proceed from them to spread Muhammad's faith among the Borana, Gerire, and Arussi. He is said to have translated the Qur'Γ€n into the Galla language, and this translation is said to have been preserved there up to the present, a fact which is doubtable, however. Although only one half of the Panigal could be Islamized, Husayn's name enjoys high prestige among all of them. His grave is carefully looked after, and if Somali people come there they are kindly treated and presented with horses and ivory. Shaikh Husayn's grave, about which I heard the people of Berbera talk a lot, is a stone sarcophagus within a large courtyard surrounded by arcades. Women and children are not allowed inside, and animals are slaughtered there. A Somali and a Galla are engaged to take care of this sepulchre". (2004 Braukamper p136)

Places like Aw Nugus near Kombolcha and Aw "AlT FIf in Anano became important for the Islamization of the Oromo in the eastern parts of the HarΓ€r Plateau. 30

Aw Nugus, where Buba IbrΓ€him, a contemporary of Abadir is said to be buried, developed as a focus of conversion of the Nole-Oromo."'

Aw "Alt Fif was a HarΓ€ri saint whose shrine is situated in Anano, c. 25 km northeast of HarΓ€r at the border between the highlands occupied by Garso-Oromo and the lowlands inhabited by Issa-Somali. He was one of the sons of Abadir. The local Oromo use to address him with the words "Ali Fif bela fifi!" (Ali Fif, take away misfortune).32 A popular tradition reports that the saint once sent his daughter to fetch water for him which he needed for his prayers. But she spent her time at the river playing with a young man and kept her father waiting. He then became furious, cursed his daughter and her friend and turned both of them into a rock which is still to be seen today. Then he took his spear and stuck it into the ground. Immediately a spring gushed out from the hole which was henceforth called Burka Ali Fif. Oromo and Somali pilgrims mainly gather at the saint's shrine for the birthday of the Prophet (mawlΓΌd al-nabi) and for thanksgiving after the harvest. (Braukamper 2004 p114)

Abadir lived in the 13th century bro he literally mentions the Jarso and Nole this was the early Islamisation for oromos.

Aw abadir is first mentioned in fath madinet harar manuscript. That manuscript has been debunked:lol: it was cooked up in the 1960s. Kombolcha is in the Amhara zone. This Aw altif whatever being the son of Abadir.... many white boys fell for this BS manuscript sold by ethiosemite hararis. Lastly a quick search shows warra qallu are related to Sheekhal who claim descent from this.. Aw abadir mentioned in that fake manuscript. Sheekhal are a confederation of hawiye Somalis and one one subclan aw qutub being of berber lineage E-M183. One subclan is even of Indian origin. Clearly it was just a religious class not an actual clan. Obviously all these qallu were Somali priests preaching Islam that you absorbed. You oromos are known for assimilating anything that breathes

Quick and short Braukamper claims some Bale clans are related to Early Ethiopian Christians in that same page I showed before he then tells us an idea that the Hadiya are progenitors of the Arsi oromo he list these mixed clans of Bale which he specifies in the start (The Hadiya-Bale tribes).

This guy even claimed that Barentu oromo claimed abitirsi leading back to Ismail AL jabarti undoubtedly a lie (Excluding assimilated ones that became somali) Braukamper 2004 p133

Braukampers theory is that The Harala whom he believes to be semites and ancestor of Harari and Hadiya (who this guy also thought had some link to semites) lived in the land between Hargeisa and Jubbaland, then he says that the Oromo had invaded and assimilated the local semitic speaking population of this area and concluded that Somalis

( whom according to him, had to have been established in Merca solely because Hawiya sheikhs were traveling from there )

invaded Oromo land in the 18-19th century. There is some truth in this but a majority of whatever this dude says is just lies you can see This in p 137 and 136.

There is no need for me to do a dna test it I the evidence clan name etc. more oromos need to take DNA test so they get more samples of Oromo DNA now it is more somali.

Oromo and Somali pilgrims mainly gather at the saint's shrine for the birthday of the Prophet (mawlΓΌd al-nabi) and for thanksgiving after the harvest. (Braukamper 2004 p114)

Complete drivel

You're so quick to make a judgment. I am not even talking about the text your showing me the book I was explaining to you is ''Islamic History and culture in southern Ethiopia''.

In this book Braukamper says some Barentu trace themselves back to Ismail Al Jabarti- page 133
He says Girri Kombe are Oromo- Page 111

He mixes lies with truth and truth be told most of the time it is just him speaking out of his ass.

I mean this guy really tried saying Jubba-land and Hargeisa was Harari land kkkkkkkkπŸ˜‚.

No need for me to address my self here its all in the book.
